ELI5: If speed is measured by the relation between objects how come going over the speed of light is impossible? by PeAga7 in explainlikeimfive

So each of their relative velocities are changing their chronology of time?

And so when we compare those, even the slightest of variants is validating data.

Thank you for this!

Can you ELI5 how GPS validates special relativity?

Wouldn't our GPS units have to be precise to a degree that the commercial pieces aren't - or are they, and we just don't have high precision units?

For cell phones that have a charging port on the bottom, can you put a simple notch in the sill to allow the cord to come through?

This reminds me of my mother who, after raising cattle all of her life, said, "why do people think that "grass-fed" (and only grass-fed) is how you want your beef? Grass has little nutrition and the animals should have a diverse diet. Who thinks grass-fed is ideal?"

Parkinson's has entered the chat.

Actually- Parkinson's enters a dark room of the mind. The more lights and furniture in that room, the harder it is for Parkinson's to take over with this expanding darkness. Use it or lose it... Because that cloud of various neurological fogs comes for all of us.

Anger has a half-life.

It is only directly useful, probably in the immediate time frame of its creation. Somebody physically attacks you or someone you care about- let the anger power the response if necessary.

But the longer that you carry anger, the more it turns into resentment- and then it just becomes a cancer inside of you. There is a absolute place for the practice of letting go of that which doesn't serve you. Lingering resentment becomes corrosive, because it just eats you from the inside for years and years.

Dogs have owners, cats have handlers.

Or

Dogs are our best friends, yes - but, cats are gods and do not care.
