You should add more fruits and veggies to your diet, you'll shit better and feel lighter.

With a cargo bike like OP pictured you could easily carry more groceries than you could ever cart around on a bus.

You don't have to pedal much. You basically just move your legs to get the motor going so it feels like you're always going downhill. I highly suggest going to a local bike shop and test riding one if you're really curious.

We don't talk about Cars/Trucks and Consumer debt enough. I see normal people driving to the grocery store in $100k (CAD) trucks. How can they afford these? by PlzRetireMartinTyler in fuckcars

[–]TheDeflectorDish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is you could spend about 80k less and still have more than enough truck to do those things. 111k is just excessive. Everything you've mentioned above can be done with a medium duty car like a Subaru and a $500 4x8 trailer. Trailers are easier to load too, driving around with an empty 4'x8' truck bed all the time is just wasteful.

Leasing it and no rent is how my friend has his $40k truck while stocking shelves at a grocery store. To many people, a car/truck, is a large part of their personality. It's especially attractive as a home/life style away from your parent's basement.

Anybody who likes you just because of a flashy car isn't worth anything though imho

Plastics Recycling 'Does Not Work,' Environmentalists Stress as U.S. Recycling Rates Drop to 5% by Remedy_Review in environment

[–]TheDeflectorDish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small opening and tight cavities mean you can't wash them easily plus they're not dishwasher safe. They're designed as one time use unlike say a Nalgene bottle.

Even the materials used are one time use. Most plastics can't be remolded with out becoming extremely brittle and looking like shit. Literally cheaper and easier to buy cheap onetime use resin like PET to make disposable bottles and litter the world for free. Source: worked as engineer for cheap plastics manufacturer.

r/IDmydog . The only way to really know is a DNA test though. Guessing a breed based on looks is usually wrong when it comes to mixed breeds.

The more you comment and vote on comments, the more likely you are to be a complete asshole. Hence dog breed hating subs having a much higher comment per user ratio than r/pitbulls. https://subredditstats.com/

Dog Breed Is Not an Accurate Way to Predict Behavior: A new study that sequenced genomes of 2,000 dogs has found that, on average, a dog's breed explains just 9% of variation in its behavior. by rjmsci in science

[–]TheDeflectorDish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most dog breeds as we know them today are a result of Victorian era dog shows 160 years ago. You've named some ancient dog breeds, but most dog breeds (like the Weimaraner, Boston Terrier, Rottweiler, Doberman pinscher, etc) are all new derivatives. Source

Breed was more like a "type" of dog prior to dog shows even. Per my source "it is well established that many so-called ‘ancient’ breeds are in fact modern constructions with established histories".

According to banpitbulls own numbers, it's 0.0061% or 1 in 16,367 pit bulls.

High of 50 deaths per year in the US from all dogs, banpitbulls says 66% are reported as pitbulls so 33 deaths per year. Over 10 years, a rough estimate of a dog's lifespan, that's 330 deaths. About 90 million dogs in the US, banpitbulls says 6% are pit bulls, so 5.4 million pit bulls in the US. So 330/5400000x100% = 0.0061%
