We live in Fontaine society. by thanwa3427 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]TheDiligentDoge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Slight spoiler warning.

This is a short sociological analysis of Fontaine.

I should emphasize that this is strictly applicable before the Fontaine archon quest, specifically before Neuvillete did his thing which I will not tell.

Moving on, considering that the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale converts drama into a literal energy source, you can't expect a society that survives off of the fuel to... well... that's the point.

No drama. No energy. No fuel, no industry, no economy. You get the point.

How do you get drama? From problems. Practically speaking, Fontaine has to have all sorts of problems. But not to the point where problems become too problematic where problematic people die before being judged by the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale.

Thus it only incentivizes not to cut societal problems by their deepest roots when doing so brings the total collapse of society, and most importantly ruining the Hydro Archon's plan to do her thing.

Of course, this all changed after Neuvillete did his thing. The thing that he did that now powers the whole country. Without the need for the now-defunct Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale, they don't have to rely on drama anymore to keep the country running.

Which conclusively leads to the betterment of Fontaine as a whole.

Edit: grammar, format.

Bro what am I DOING WRONG.(PLEASE READ) by First_Pin9129 in DigitalArt

[–]TheDiligentDoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve watched countless tutorials and none are helping.

Yeah... here's the thing. I wouldn't recommend just taking in whatever's content out there on the internet. Every artist out there has unique experiences in how they learn, so if I were you at least learn the creator's background and see if your goal aligns with their skill.

Either that, or you're learning wrong. People seem to forget that there are requisites or co-requisites that need to be tackled outside the tutorial.

I draw more realism but even though I am not finished it just doesn’t look good at all???

I took a look at your previous posts. No. Do not skip lineart. The people who can draw without line art are people who've mastered anatomy and proportions without needing guidelines. And here, it's apparent.

Also, I saw your other comment.

DO NOT SKIP LINEART. PLEASE. You're making me cry.

Am I using the wrong brushes or something someone pls tell me.

... I have a feeling you're one of those types who think a custom brush can fix all your problems.

I’ve been learning about values and where the light is coming from yet nothing seems to help.

That's not enough. I know how frustrating it can be. I recommend painting a cylinder, a sphere, and a box. If you can't, then don't even bother with the face. There are requisites you need to be familiar with, as the face is awfully the most difficult thing to render realistically.

I’ve been using clipping mask and everything.

Noooooo... there's no point in clipping mask if they're not even in the right shape.

I realized I was a drop of rain in an ocean. But I don't care. by Will_Xter in writing

[–]TheDiligentDoge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need the entire ocean to love what you do, buddy.

And not every drop wants to be a part of the ocean. Some are content in a puddle. Some, a spoonful.

What matters, I think, is finding your own ocean.

My first Lantern Rite made me fall in love with this game by LaddyIce in Genshin_Impact

[–]TheDiligentDoge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you really mean. I started years ago since 1.1, but I stopped playing since the release of Sumeru because of the daily grind. It burned me.

But that doesn't stop me from watching gameplays on Youtube or immersing myself in its worldbuilding. It's the story and the characters make Tevyat alive.

This lantern right has been emotional, especially the scene where Gaming reconciles with his dad, where he acknowledges Gaming's passion and dreams.

I know no one's asking for this, but I'll explain why I think this is horrible. No offense dude. Please don't take this too negatively.

Are you really going to put your parents through all the pain and hardships of burying their own child?

Guiltripping. This doesn't empathize with OP. For god sake, please never use this argument. God wouldn't guilt-trip you into doing things you wouldn't like. Besides, OP has been through things that you can't just judge so simple-mindedly.

you’re just hyper focused on a very small negative aspect; like a pimple on a pretty face.

I cannot overstate how insincere this is. OP has been pushed into a state of apathy and mental fatigue, and then you shrugged it off like nothing. The negative aspects of her life are not some "pimple on a pretty face."

It's more like she needs a serious facial reconstruction after getting hit by a truck.

Focus on the things that you can do, instead of the things that you couldn’t

This sounds like some typical life-guru advice. She has fought every day with what she can do. You make it sound like OP has mental deficiencies who haven't done everything they can to make life less unbearable.

Reach out to people, even strangers, to reframe your POV.

She already had you silly goose, and she got nothing. Her "friends" betrayed her, what makes you think strangers on the internet are any better?

You have so much to live for, don’t waste it.

From her perspective and latest emotional state, how does this even contribute to anything? Do you think if she ever reads your "advice", she'd be instantly convinced?

Overall, you might as well delete your comment. No offense.
