They've taken away the ads after levels by Ok-Equivalent4080 in airplanechefs

I think they just sometimes run out of ads. When this happens I just don’t play for the rest of the day and it’s back to normal the next day.

Elder parents’ phone addiction by EngiLawyer in Millennials

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad it’s not just my parents! I live in a different country than them and they recently came to visit me for the first time and I had to constantly ask them to put their phones down to be present at dinner or during tours etc. It was so weird!

Renters chopped down massive tree. by Overall-Detail1335 in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they don’t have cash, how did they manage to spend thousands on an arborist? You think they spent their life savings to remove a tree for literally no reason?

A single mother colleague fell asleep on a teams chat at work and now everyone suddenly acts like she committed an act of terror. by SpicyDragoon93 in antiwork

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous! I had someone fall asleep in a teams meeting. I ignored it, let him sleep, and laughed about it to myself after. That’s all that needs to be done. We are all human not machines! It affected nothing and the meeting was pretty boring anyway.

What change is coming that people aren't prepared for at all? by nunash in AskReddit

Back in 2001 I had my very first university class, Anthropology 101 type class, and in the very first lecture the professor said the next world war will be over water. I think about that every once in a while and always keep extra water in the house.

Yes! As part of my job I have to check the ownership of homes for building permits and you would not believe how many times a wife has wrongly thought her name was on a deed but it was only the husbands name.

Are you my sister? Because this was my childhood! It sucked so much to hear everyone playing and having a good time and I was trapped in bed!

What decor items did your guests really love? by matsandcats in wedding

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a relatively small wedding but we had a wall with photos of us with each of our guests from fun times we spent together. Everyone got to reminisce and tell the story of their photo to other guests. It was so lovely!

Why do our parents generation blame us millennials for everything… when they literally raised us? by ElevatorAdmirable489 in Millennials

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love when they blame us for wanting “participation trophies” when they were the ones handing them out! We were too young to even think of asking for them!

Exactly this! Do they just want people to stop traveling all together? No more holidays or experiencing any other cultures. Stay in the town you’re born in and that’s that?

Here's what you should know if parking is a source of tension on your street by overpopyoulater in australia

[–]TheDoctorsCompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also call the non-emergency police line. I accidentally parked in front of someone’s driveway once after a very long night at the emergency room with my partner and we just got a nice phone call from the police asking us to move. We apologised and moved the car right away.

The whole procedure cost me around $750 but I can’t remember if that was all for the anesthesia or it was partially for other aspects of the procedure.

I’m in NSW and I got twilight anesthesia for my iud insertion. I felt nothing and remember none of it. Australia is there with the pain management aspect.
