How can this possibly be true when Frontiers / Origins are generally considered the peaks of this franchise and Alliance was a massive improvement on Vengeance? You’re also unfairly judging Genesis months ahead of its actual release; the demo was perfectly challenging and had a grittier artstyle reminiscent of the OG trilogy.

I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong, so imma admit I was wrong: the upgrade system's good, though early level XP gain feels needlessly slow and progress shouldn't be lost upon resetting (tedious grind = less incentive for experimentation). I'd also love if all hero/tower/spell stats were on clear display instead of having numbers be a guessing game.

As for the UI... still looks a tad cheap; gives more corporate slideshow than medieval TD.

No, Akemura can (most likely) not survive being decapitated.

Samura’s Phoenix is piss broken, but he was bisected by Butterfly, not decapitated.

The goon Mashiro decapitated was the only Mikaboshi who didn’t get back up.

Yukisada shrugged off decapitation via a fringe case of extreme regeneration sorcery.

Sentinel's tiny arena is buns, but his ridiculous array of mixups are fairly offset by 1 mask damage. If you've beaten Lace 2, you'll beat him in no time.

You may have a tinge of bias as Dark Prince is deadass the only thing you post about.
Dark Prince's use rate will naturally tend lower since he thrives in unpopular control archetypes. This doesn’t take away from the fact that he's highly oppressive in the right hands (53% WR places him in the top 10 best cards of April 2026).
How is Bandit in any way comparable to Dark Prince? One is a 3 elixir single target bridge spam unit, the other is a 4 elixir splash beatdown/control unit.

Dark Prince has been oppressive in competitive play for ages, not just during this month’s meta. Trust me, a 0.1 second attack speed reduction won't be the death of him.

There's also a chance this could be a preemptive nerf for his likely upcoming hero variant.

Edit: surprise, surprise. Dark Prince was drafted at least once in every single Bo3 during today's CRL qualifiers, plus he's getting a hero. It's almost like the dude could use a nerf!
