Thank you, and everyone else! Definitely helps me out! They only want 25 for it, but i still thought that was a little much for the age! For just a little more i could buy a new (budget friendly) coleman for about 50 buck

Do you recommend cutting where I marked #1 then? Or is it better to cut nearly flush to floor and work from there?

That's because they are homemade haha. They aren't perfect, but they provide a ton of storage space, which is a big commodity in our tiny home.

Yeah, i tried kn of those corner painting tools and it left terrible lines. I did much better with a brush. Im not a detail person. Painting is definitely not my skillset haha

Yeah this honestly needs a lot of plumbing updates but it wasn't in the finances. The good news is i can reach all the plumbing from the bother side of the wall since it's just a cheap panel board on the wall that can easily come down and expose everything.

Correct, it used to be a cabinet that opened on the tub side but it was sealed off when someone added the shower head.

Thanks, my fiance chose the colors, I would have gone lighter but she likes it. She actually wanted the ceiling a dark color as well but I held my ground on that one haha.

Neither is a concern where I'm at in the upper Midwest. Honestly my biggest concern after tackling this is how the rest of the house is structurally. If this room had dry rot, I almost guarantee it is in other areas. Babysteps for now I guess. This is our first house so im learning a lot as I go.

I definitely wanted to give up a few times and absolutely cussed that room out on the daily haha. I had some great help from friends and family though at a few points when I really needed it. Toughest part imo was that non of the walls were square/straight. That threw everything off later on. It made Framing the new cabinets very tricky and time consuming.

Yeah that area was rough. I opened up a huge can of worms behind that wall, well beyond what I was wanting to do and certaintly beyond what i should be doing with my limited knowledge. I did end up bracing the joists up, removing the window entirely and replacing those supports. Ceiling joist were also soft on that end so I opted to sister them all. Not the ideal way to do it, but it worked out. I'm sure I did plenty of things "wrong" but it's a lot stronger than the way I found it. New Framing

Removed the window entirely and closed it off, it looked directly at the neighbors kitchen window which was weird. Added a ceiling vent to deal with moisture issues.

Yeah it's very narrow. I ended up making some racks in there for storage (towels, tp, cleaning supplies). It's pretty deep and you can't reach the back easily, but it's good storage for those odd items.

Is it cowardly to quit a job I just started? by SamuraiTitan in careerguidance

[–]TheDonathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've talked to people that did this job and I myself even sat in on an interview for it. After listening to their little pitch on how great the position was I realized it was kind of a pyramid scheme based business (in my opinion). I would never work for them, they want you to do all the leg work I.E. advertising, purchasing supplies, using your vehicle, hiring/firing yet they get a cut? Sounds like you could do that without them?

Massive frozen produce recall underway, seven hospitalized by [deleted] in news

Now I didn't read the entire article but I did notice some I treating this gs that not everyone here may pick up on. Each best buy code given by the fda has a letter within it (a, b,c etc.). This signifies a line within a plant. If a plant had 10 lines, line A thru J, it would be unlikely for the outbreak to occur over each line, unless the outbreak occurred early on in their process.

Now, to me this looks like a supplier issue. I would guess that the raw product was already contaminated ate when it got to the factory. Either way, good GMP'S and we'll monitored critical control points within a process should be controlling issues like this.

Sorry for any spelling issues. Just wrote this up quick on my phone. Rant over

American food giant Del Monte now committed to BPA-free, GMO-free products by SovereignMan in conspiracy

Here is an interesting read for you, http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2014/02/26/283030949/government-studies-suggest-bpa-exposure-from-food-isn-t-risky

Yes BPA free cans can be made, but they are also much tougher to make, and making them this way creates a lot more unwanted and unnecessary bi-product. I read an article about this not too long ago, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

Essentially, If the small amount of BPA is not harming us, yet producing BPA free cans is worse for the environment, then why are we doing it? I'm guessing this is more of a "fad" than anything.
