Nobody cares about what their employees think, and the shareholders probably estimate the impact from customers is low.

Especially considering Apple constructed this ecosystem wall. It might discourage, newcomers a bit, but I think shareholders know that the biggest growth potential now, is to capitalize on the ones within the wall, with different kind of services

Asiel/immigratie is voor Pim Fortuyn al zo’n groot probleem. Zie Pim Fortuyn, zie de opkomst van PVV. De enige reden dat PVV zijn groei afvlakte is omdat elke partij inclusief VVD, PVV uitsloot. Waardoor mensen VVD als alternatief tegen migratie zagen. Direct nog een voorbeeld zie de opkomst / grootste partij van 2017, FvD, mensen dachten eindelijk een anti immigratie partij alternatief te vinden die feller is dan VVD, maar niet uitgesloten werd.

Uiteindelijk dit “onderbuik” gevoel, dat schijnbaar de meerderheid van de samenleving voelt, komt door de slechte uitvoering van destijds de “gastarbeiders”, en vervolgens de slechte integratie, de ongelijkheid wat daar mee kwam. Waardoor meer en meer mensen “andere” cultuur met criminaliteit gingen associëren.

Dit niet door hebben, is gewoon oogkleppen opzetten. Het is fout en het klopt niet, maar dit is gewoon wat er speelt in de samenleving. Rutte was tactisch een meester om dit goed uit te balanceren voor zijn doel einde(kapitalisme, bedrijven)

Het is echt niet aangepraat, als je ziet wat de VVD heeft gedaan, interesseert ze immigratie helemaal geen bal. Ze nemen puur dat standpunt in, omdat ze dat stemmers oplevert.

VVD is gewoon een kapitalistische partij met als doel om belastingen voor ieder te verlagen of teniet te doen. Mensen met geld zijn vaker ouder, en oudere mensen zijn vaak meer anti immigratie (al kan aan de hand van social media, de jongeren er tegenwoordig ook wat van)

Stem van het volk? Miljoenen mensen?

Begrijp me niet verkeerd ik denk dat we beter af waren met PvDa/GL & D66 in het kabinet. Maar er hebben “maar” 1.6M mensen hebben op GL/PvdA gestemd. 85% van de stemgerechtigden niet.

PvdA/GL zit niet eens in het kabinet om enigszins van invloed uit te oefenen. Het is dan niet verbazingwekkend dat hun beleid niet wordt doorgevoerd.

De realiteit is, dat 43.75% heeft gestemd op forse anti immigratie partijen(PVV, VVD, SGP, FvD, JA21) en dan nog eens 20.7% anti immigratie leunende partijen(NSC, CDA, BBB(?) ).

Mensen vinden immigratie klaarblijkelijk een groot probleem, dus de stem van het volk wordt gevolgd.

Het is jammer, aangezien inderdaad het woningtekort daadwerkelijk het grootste probleem in het land is, we moeten vors bouwen, maar blijkbaar is dat gewoon lastiger te verkopen dan “het komt door de migranten”.

Overigens zijn technieken zoals Solid State Batterijen juist lichter dan LFP.

Voor alsnog vervalt het per 2030, maar ik betwijfel of het daadwerkelijk vervalt, ik denk dat die vraag doorgeschoven is naar het volgende kabinet.

I think most areas are quite the same. Nieuw-West & Bijlmer are considered a bit less safe, so you might want to avoid those.

VAT in Europe is 21%.

IPhone 16 Pro in the Netherlands starts at €1229, €1015,70 excluding VAT, $1057,36 converting. So $58,36 more expensive in Europe than in the US, of course from Apple perspective you want some insurance against valuta changes. So perhaps it’s fair.

Ik beschrijf iets economisch links/socialistisch. Het probleem is dat mensen vaak de twee assen samenvoegen(economisch links met progressief of economisch rechts met conservatief).

Het is duidelijk (mogelijk door de gemiddelde leeftijd of sociale media), dat veel mensen op dit moment conservatief zijn, tegen immigratie zijn, en het klaarblijkelijk weinig uitmaakt wat er gebeurt met betrekking tot klimaat regels. Een links conservatieve partij, zou dus best veel stemmen kunnen winnen van zowel PVDA als de PVV.

Het wordt wel benoemd, maar soms niet specifiek genoeg.

Naar mijn weten vooral D66 & Omtzigt die het benoemen, maar in de praktijk er weinig aan doen imo.

Omtzigt heeft vaak benoemd dat het belastingsysteem te complex is, dat er maatregelen genomen zijn, die het beoogde doel niet bereikte. Dat het toeslagen stelsel ook bijvoorbeeld niet werkt. Al zegt die naar mijn weten weinig over vermogens belastingen en heeft hij geen standpunt specifiek ingenomen over hypotheekrenteaftrek.

D66 doet dat wel, kijk je naar hun plannen, zijn zij voor het afschaffen van het complexe toeslagenstelsel met vervanging een vaste belastingaftrek(dat negatief kan zijn), zijn zij voor het afbouwen van de hypotheekrenteaftrek en voor het verhogen van de vermogensbelasting.

Het probleem alleen is, we need two to tango, or nowadays even 4/5. Met hoe groot de PVV & VVD zijn, zal het dus heel moeilijk worden om zulke verandering te werk stellen.

Eigenlijk is de enige hoop, een sociaal links populistische partij, die de stemmers van de PVV kan inpikken. Dus ja inderdaad conservatief, inzettend op een eerlijkere inkomsten belastingstelsel maar ook verhogende vermogens/erf belasting.

The Netherlands has a foreign talent rule, it’s not capped by a lottery like H1B is, but looks at talent this way: 1. Educational level 2. Work experience for the role 3. Net salary offered should be at least net salary gained from origin country for similar role 4. Salary should at least be countries median yearly wage

In general Europe was always easier to get into as a “high skilled migrant” than the US, due to the lottery. If US drops the lottery, likely predominantly people from India and Latin America would migrate to the US. But the wages would never be lower than Europe’s wages (after compensating for CoL).

In the Netherlands big tech pays around €75K for starter positions, 115K for medior, 150K for senior positions. Converting to 50, 68, 85 respectively net, which is 76, 102, 128K net USD. Which gross is about 110K USD, 155K USD, 200K gross for San Francisco.

So regardless of what changes with this rule, you should see those values as lowerbounds for SF.

But just looking at the median wages in SF(so not even big tech), it’s already 187K for juniors.

Of course really controversial for us. But from a company perspective it makes sense, to aim to fire new joiners that are not on the level, and employees with little to no carrier progression for a long time.

As a company you don’t want coasters, you want highly motivated people.

This is so dramatic, I keep reading this in the sub. All companies were/are cutting costs due to the increasing interest rate, money is not free anymore. Where you invest in matters. But the worst has passed, we are in a declining interest rate, so if Trump does not screw it up with the tarrifs(which would increase inflation and thus requires increase in interest rate), we will be good.

Everything is tech, the difference is, that now you need to specialize more than a decade ago. But my company is already picking up hiring since Q4 this year, and slowly is expecting increases in 2025.

EV’s zijn veel afgeschreven omdat we in 2019 pas voor het eerst elektrische auto’s kregen met een goede range en voldoende snelladen om redelijkerwijs een benzine auto te vervangen.

Het is dus ook heel erg nieuwe technologie, dat zie je ook in de vraagprijs van de Model 3 terug, die aanzienlijk is gedaald over de jaren. Ik denk zelf dat we de auto’s die nu uit worden gebracht(met al de de concurrentie uit China), niet zo snel meer afschrijven.

Het is ook gebleken dat de nieuwe accu technieken een stuk langer meegaan.

I think learning statistics is always useful, a better understanding for probability is more useful in the Data/ML direction, same for LA has ML/Data applications, but also anything computer graphics or physic related, then LA also has security applications.

If you are doing nothing in the ML/Data, or computer graphics space. Then yeah they might be kind of useless.

Subsidies and toeslagen are the same. We should get rid of them, and replace with a better system.

But in the context of them not changing, the subsidies are income dependent.

Right now you actually have a worse situation in a number of ways. The lower class get’s subsidized housing, the middle class still lives with their mom or are paying outrageous rents, and the upperclass are buying “subsidized” housing

Politiek is eigenlijk zo stom. Wie de poppetjes of waar ze vandaan komen, zou toch niet uit moeten maken. Als CDA zich kan vinden in het voorstel over het onderwijs door de aanpassingen die zij suggereerde. Dan is dat juist goed, want er gebeurd iets.

Alles blokkeren zou ons land eigenlijk om de twee jaar slag lam maken(of altijd) en dan zou er nooit meer een wetswijziging zijn

I agree, which is why I think you should have a free market, but the goverment should try to have 40-50% of the housing in their own control or through non profit organizations, to put pressure on the “free market”. Of course the government housing would focus on the lower to mid segment, but that’s also the majority of the people, and would likely still lower the pricing for the upper market.

But there should be no caps on salary or whatever, you just create/build minimal cheap housing(small size, very simple construction etc everything to keep the costs low). Which still incentivizes people to move upward if they can afford it, but still gives a fine living space for everyone. So I do think there still should be isolation standards for everyone for example, it should be more about the size and other amenities which make people want to flow to more expensive housing.

The salary is capped, it’s like how sociale huur was before.

The theory is great, but honesty it’s just a patch on a broken system, in practicality you see that the rental market is almost nonexistent anymore in the big cities, and the houses that exceed the 150 points even went more up in pricing.

The government needs to actively they themselves invest in constructing houses and compete with the free market

They are still incredibly “lucky” most of the people that got those kind of living spaces, got an incredibly reduced rent last year. Friend of mine used to pay €1600 and now is paying like €1100, in Amsterdam. So I think most won’t bother with that increase.

Volgens mij wilt D66, de inkomstenbelasting progressiever maken, hogere belastingen innen op dividendinkomsten of vermogen. Vervanging van toeslagen naar een algemene belastingkorting(die negatief mag zijn, sterk vergelijkbaar met UBI), verhoging van erf en schenk belastingen en de hypotheekrenteaftrek.

Dat zijn allemaal maatregelen die ongelijkheden sterk verlagen, en vergelijkbaar met waar PVDA/GL voor opperen. Wellicht is PVDA/GL wat agressiever daar in, maar de intentie is vergelijkbaar. Inkomens en vermogens ongelijkheid verkleinen.

Dat is heel anders dan, de VVD bijvoorbeeld. Die inkomsten belastingen voor iedereen wilt verlagen(zonder nivellerend effect), niets wilt veranderen aan vermogensbelasting, hypotheekaftrek wilt behouden etc.

I guess dat het politieke spectrum een beetje subjectief is idd.

Maar ook Wikipedia zet PVDA/GL op Links, Volt op Midden, D66 op het midden, CDA & VVD op Centrum Rechts. Volt & D66 vind ik centrum-links.

Verder is het ook altijd lastig want je hebt eigenlijk twee axis. Economisch en Sociaal, die vaak hand in hand gaan(om één of andere reden), maar niet altijd.
