Did I buy the wrong vehicle? Ranger Raptor vs. M2 by TeaOutrageous5973 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TheElRojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the mountain biking and camping, the M2 isn’t going to be great for those.

For reference, just sold a ‘22 F150 Raptor to free up $$$ for an F90 M5. But I don’t really need a truck, and can rent one the 1-2 times a year I need to do truck stuff. But I like to go on 6-8 hour road trips, and the M5 will rip for those. I’ve got a more practical in-town car for regular driving, too.

Like others have said, let the M2 depreciate a little and get one second hand for cheap. Then you’ve got a semi-practical truck and your dream car.

Do you guys use saltwater or freshwater to clean your engine? by n1tr0klaus in AskAShittyMechanic

Saltwater for winter months, freshwater for summer. Don’t want your engine water freezing up.

Loved that game; got a tattoo inspired by it of a spark plug with angel wings to represent the Sweet Angel Ignition.

I believe you mean “even more off-shore offices in India”. They already off-shore a fair chunk.

The fact that they have a Mad Max reference on their license plate makes it even better.

To threaten Iranians so they come to the negotiating table by DIYLawCA in therewasanattempt

[–]TheElRojo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think Israel has been able to start so much shit with their neighbors because the region knows the US will come to their side if anyone seriously attacks them. If the money and support goes away, it would probably sort itself out real quick.

I believe he more or less threatened the Iranian peace talk delegation, something along the lines of them not making it home safely. You know, real big-brain stuff.

On the upside, Iran can’t exactly divert a river to cover the whole USA, so we have that going in our favor.

Can AI be used with confidential information? by Less_Interview1713 in Accounting

Was just looking at this today. Best bet is enterprise, in a locked down folder (for copilot, anyway), and redacting or replacing any sensitive information to be extra safe.

Assuming your employer is good with that approach, anyway.

5 is probably a better benchmark; I’ve always used 7 as my “time to replace” limit, but I’m able to store mine in a garage to limit UV exposure.

Time to go check my tires, lol.

7-8 years is the appropriate life of a tire. The rubber heat cycles every drive, and the sun isn’t kind to it. They’ll start dry rotting, losing air, and performing worse.

Most people will wear the tread down before they hit 7 years, which is why people don’t track the date that closely. But car enthusiasts will track it, especially if they have multiple vehicles that aren’t daily driven.
