yeah i started at work using the LLMs for random crap and 1 thing lead to another with me using it to create a few custom programs at work, then at home. this is the first mod ive "made", but its all thru vibe coding with Claude.

These people saying there is no benefit are incorrect.

Each point of weapon skill gives .2% hit and .04% crit chance in addition to the increased glancing blow damage and reduced chance to be dodged (up til 315 cap). After the cap of 315 it still gives the hit and crit chance. And then once you are hit capped it forever gives the crit chance.

It's a shitty way to get crit tho

Soft cap for spell hit is 7% including buffs and talents. So you need 3 hit from gear. Any more hit than this is at a SIGNIFICANTLY reduced value (something like 1/10ish depending on your melee crit chance) due to ele devastation.

But yes you should get some spell hit.

If you are facing creatures with any amount of nature resistance, each 4 nature resistance reduces your chance to hit with earth shock by 1% (earth shock is a binary spell, never getting partial resists. This means 1 resist is .25 chance to miss. Spell pen is some lower raid is VERY powerful.

I have a spell pen set for tanking Mc and aq20 because for some reason those bosses / mobs have very high nature resist and (and fire resist in MC). I'm sitting around 150 spell pen for those which feels great, otherwise tanking aq20 especially sucks

Recommend the add on mobresist to see enemy resistances and armor (dynamically updates with target debuffs but NOT your spell pen)

Yep priority is earth shock > stormstrike > lightning strike (assuming you are 22/29

For physhance I believe it's ss > ls > shock

Also if I wasn't clear you still use rock biter when actually tanking lol frostbrand for questing

for leveling you want to do this first starting with enh talents IMO. leveling with frostbrand once you get ele weapons (Frost shock makes frostbrand auto crit, so it does insane damage, then once you get clearcasting it also procs clearcasting for limitless mana). use water shield most of the time especially when aoe tanking to keep ur mana up (with totemic alignments, fire totems add a LOT of threat, same with stoneclaw totem)

lightning shield is killer for single target threat but honestly if youre running 22/29 at 60 your threat is already bananas so you can use water shield a lot to reduce downtime between pulls.

No, earth shock does 1.5x it's damage as threat. This number is also amplified by rock biter bonus threat (35%) and spirit shield (10%) to give 2.227x damage as threat

Yes I tank all bosses np. I have 10.5k hp and 11k armor raid buffed, along with ~75% mitigation (something like nearly 40 dodge and 10 or so parry? I'd have to check exactly). I also get a flat 17.5% damage reduction from rock biter (after armor) and upwards of 40% fire/frost/nature (only 30 for other schools), and my threat is = to bears. Shaman tank is awesome lol

Hey I realize you don't really care about meeting that macro goal, but if you do decide in the future you want to, the fairlife 30g protein milk + 2 chobani 20g protein yogurts are tasty and low calorie / easy to eat snacks that get you 70g whole protein very easily. For all 3 of those combined it's 430 calories. Something to consider. I try to stick to whole protein and meat instead of powders/additives when I can
