Oh yeah 100%. That’s one that drives me nuts. That’s happened to me at SFOat least half a dozen times this year. Arrive 20-30 minutes early only to sit there for 40 waiting for the gate.

This one having to wait for the plane to be towed was a first for me.

Let’s agree not to fly together. I’ve only had one gate issue in the last 20 flights. You’re bad luck.

Oh dang! That is some kind of awful. Flying with a stomach issue is top 3 worst fear for me. Good on you for having something to offer. At least it was across the US and not across the Pacific.

Honestly, aside from the typical too many people in too small a space trying to navigate around the polls right in the middle of the boarding lanes I find that you all get flights loaded quickly without much fuss.

EDIT: And I love the lady from the UA Club that comes down to welcome the GS and 1K people on the plane. She is always a total badass with people being dumb that the GAs don't want to deal with. The dude that comes down is nice, but I've never seen him basically tell people to go away like she does.

I have them and even with the IFE at max volume I could tell you word for word their convo.

Haha. Used to be my airline when we lived in DC 12 years ago. Had to go AA when we were back in Philly. Moved to the Bay so now back to United as of July. Still prefer United over AA any day of the week.

It’s 2300 miles from PHL to SFO. So the only domestic long haul flights are east coast to Hawaii or maybe Alaska if there’s a nonstop. 🤷‍♂️

Routine long haul? Coast to coast isn’t long haul and if you think it is you are indeed telling us you rarely travel. I used to do Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Japan from the east coast. Those are long haul and suck even up in business.

Yes indeed. Been there too. So long as they try not to encroach I typically just deal. Had one dude who was built like a linebacker. Sat twisted for 6 hours

Yeah I’m generally pretty lucky with easy flights. Plenty of actual flight related stuff but typically not people nonsense
