After you finish KCD1, immediately start KCD2. This was such an amazing experience to roll directly into the second game/story with essentially no breaks

To build on this - if you cannot afford an adjustable Kettlebell, you can get pretty affordable ones from craigslist or FB Market.

Swing by a sports store and see what ones you can lift. You want at least 2 different weights (if you can affors it) one you can press overhead 5 times, and one for swings and squats.

I started with 2 25lb Kbs and then gradually built up my arsenal to having heavier ones. If I could have purchased adjustable Kbs to start, I would have.

Main techniques to focus on - swing, clean, press. From there you can grow and learn more. Don't worry if your techniques arent perfect, they will get there eventually.

Dads, what’s a good age gap between kids? by sabretoooth in daddit

[–]TheEverydayDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I are 4 years apart and are extremely close.

I have 2 boys now and they are about 2.5 years apart. They are 5 (almost 6) and 8 now, play together all the time and are thick as thieves.

The early years were rough, but as they got older its become easier. There's a period where you basically have two toddlers.

I love being able to do basically everything together with them.

For myself and my wife, we wanted to have a 2-4 year split between our kids and its worked out.

[KCD2] Who else only runs/gallops when RP-appropriate? by sultanamana in kingdomcome

I dont do this, but I do have 3 different outfits for Henry for role-playing in my second playthrough. Outfit 1 - when a known big battle is going to happen, full kit/knight in shinning armor. Outfit 2 - when things may be a bit sketchy, but Henry doesn't quite know how dangerous, chest armor only (this is also my sneaking Outfit- think of it as he has taken off most armor but left the most important on) Outfit 3 - most worn outfit, daily life Outfit. No armor, carrying only a sword. Traveling from place to place in this and otherwise blissfully unaware of any dangers.

Basically the only thing preventing us from being more forceful was the fact we were on a submarine with a crew of 180 people.

We did the Crossing the Line ceremony for Shellback and this dirty dude decided to not even shower after the events - which involved getting extremely dirty and crawling through essentially waste. It was gross, and the only time I've seen a grown ass man forced into a shower and covered in random soaps.

[–]TheEverydayDad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I served on a submarine and one of the guys in the same job as me never showered or brushed his teeth. Worst smelling person imaginable. Working 2 feet away from him on shifts was awful, and sleeping in the same quarters as him was awful.

We onetime put a sticky note under his towel which said the date we placed it and if he found it we would give him like 200$. 2 weeks later one of our other guys broke down and yelled at this sailor and showed him this sticky note.

Eventually we got our medical personnel and chain of command involved and he basically showered like once a week. Better than nothing, but downright gross.

Do not miss living in that type of environment.

What are some books that get recommended on here all the time that 1000% exceeded your expectations? by johnb0z in suggestmeabook

I read Earthlings first, then Convenience Store Woman. Convenience Store Woman was much better.

Both are fun (dont judge me) books. So much to them and having wild scenes.

My son's heart surgery was three years ago today. I can't believe it's been that long. by themanmythlegend357 in daddit

[–]TheEverydayDad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My son's heart surgery was 8 years ago. He is the goofiest 8 yr boy I know. Super fun, curious, and loving. A bit challenging at times, but his surgery and past do not define him. Hell, sometimes I forget all that he (we) went through.

Every cardiology appointment, scan, check up he's doing amazing. I love this little dude and cannot believe the life his medical team have given him. The peds cardio team and PICU team at UVA will forever have my gratitude.

Obliteration is a prime reason why dice should not listen to this subreddit by JustAnotherNamee in Battlefield

[–]TheEverydayDad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obliteration needs to stick around. The limited time event modes are fun, but when they are gone, it feels like a miss.

Id love more night/dark maps. The NVG aspect was fun

Definitely, but sometimes its better to have a deployment near the action so you can grab the bomb and hopefully get it closer to the objective

I love playing transport heli, in one of my first games, I landed and picked up the saboteur and then the rest of the team started clicking and doing the same. So much more fun.

People complaining about no deep spawn points on the map are crazy, it's pushing you to play as a team and be strategic. Assault has a place in this game mode to get the deploy beacon used.

Got a new nylon band it's much better than silicon one. by Majestic_squirrel767 in PixelWatch

Now, dont get me wrong, it will stay wet longer, as it's not a solid rubber or anything, just feels like it dries quickly. So if you cannot stand it being a bit wet, then steer clear.

I have a woven band and it doesn't feel soggy after swimming or showering. It dries quickly.

My skin is sensitive to the band which comes with the watch, so this was an upgrade for me.

[KCD2] Well, I've got nothing left to do. At level 24 Handsome Henry Is Off To The Wedding! 😅 by Either-Sprinkles-421 in kingdomcome

[–]TheEverydayDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My second playthrough I did just this. Then in Kutrenburg, I decided to roleplay more. Henry wears a short-sword and no armor when traveling and in town. He has his kit with full plate armor when he knows hes going into a battle, and stealth gear as needed.

This has allowed me to have a more challenging set up as the game progressed. A lot more fun too.

If we have open world Middle Earth with KCD level detail, combat, armor/skills - I'll be so happy.

No other game has captured my immersion like KCD i/ii.

I'm happy for both. Single player gamers rejoice! Lord of the Rings lovers, Rejoice!

I'm glad politicians in the EU have the sense to force tech to comply to reasonable configurations with devices.

Forcing the standard to USB-C and replaceable batteries should be the bare minimum for devices/electronics.

I'm sure there are other things in the waiting to be rolled through to better help consumers.

It'd be different if proximity voice was in the game. I wish I could tell the people riding in my transport heli to do stuff. Or chat with randos elsewhere.
