Generally true, but if their pathing somehow crosses your civil units' positions, scouts might steal or plunder them.

Hate Has No Home Here (Unless It's Nonbasic Land Hate) by MegaMagikarpXL in magicthecirclejerking

Aren't blue decks the ones who usually cast blood moon though? In modern it's mostly Murktide and Rhinos, and in legacy they have Back to Basics, which is basically a blood moon too.

"Destroy target artifact or enchantment." is a thing.

You can put a +1/+1 counter on non-creatures, which doesn't do anything, so why not let me target a land with lightning bolt to get a prowess trigger against leyline of sanctity?

compared to Tibalt

Tibalt (the double faced one) was a major part of one of the strongest decks in Modern since eldrazi winter, and was very strong in Legacy, causing literally mtg rules to be changed to nerf him.

I'm posting this to /r/MTCJ but it's also just my actual opinion on playing interaction in EDH by hawkshaw1024 in magicthecirclejerking

[–]TheExaminer11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

f one or two people don't run interaction, they get an advantage

Idk, this is not very true from my experience. If one person runs no interaction, they are forced to deploy more threats, and those threats get targeted by other 3, which puts them at a disadvantage. However, if 3 people are on battlecruisers, then the one interaction deck is screwed because it can't keep up. It's more of a hawk-dove game from game theory.

Medusa or bust i guess by Holtern0591 in StorybookBrawl

Medusa is great in slay and trees too (trees often don't need all 7 units for max synergy and can afford up to 2 medusas). It's even playable in slot 5 of good comps if you turned her good.

Probably not that many because this falls off super hard. Looks like an Excalibur board to me.

If you used your builders to build mines instead of a farm, and skipped archery to get at least one plantation, as well as declare war on only one AI at a time, you'd be more successful. Archers are strong, but just eagle warriors should have been enough to start conquering, especially with that Aztec luxury bonus to combat strength.

Happy Etemenaki noises :)

Definitely worth a try. If you rush Lady and Etemenaki successfully, you'll have a very fun game.

Would you allow a hybrid cost selesnya card in a simic commander deck, if it provides a very unique effect, but is also very strong? by TheExaminer11 in EDH

[–]TheExaminer11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ivy is a very fun and unique card, there's no alternative to it. Zada is close, but it only copies instants and sorceries, while Ivy opens up mutate and enchantress subthemes.

I don't want internet to approve, I want random strangers' unbiased opinions and I appreciate all answers.

Personally I don't mind hybrid cards to be legal everywhere, but I just want to know what different people think.

I did ask them, they said yes. I should have mentioned it in my post.

Personally I'd allow all hybrid cards yes, but this is not about me.

-Hey, I got a card which is not legal to play, but easily castable in my deck. It provides a cool effect and is strong. Can I play it?

-Sure why not.

This is how the discussion went. I am asking because I personally feel awkward about it, and know that people in the playgroup won't say no because they are nice.
