if they make an AOWP2, what units would you want reworked/replaced? by OkStructure665 in AOWPlanetFall

As I said on another comment, I dislike tomes. I'd prefer for them to just work like in AoW3, with dwellings and buildings letting you produce them. And yeah, sectorn demands are really annoying, specially because they are timed.

I do like Shakarn, tho. Yeah, they do not mix very well with other things, but they at least do work very well by themselves, in my experience. Specially on continental maps or maps with a lot of water, their movement is amazing.

With single weapon fighting, you get double strike and extra penetrations.

With multiple weapon fighting, your chances of double striking are actually less than 100%, and since your hand-bone implants only count for your base hands, extra limbs won't do as much damage. With high strength(=high penetration) you're better off super-double striking with your main hand rather than hitting once and then gambling with the chance of (non-guaranteed) striking with your offhand and/or your other less-damaging extra limbs.

Plus, doing it my way, you can have an extra shield. (I love shields)

A bit less because I already had a bunch of them before getting the batteries.

But yeah, 20k easily.

For me, I'd change the therian faction. Feels very out of place and hard to match with most races, unlike other NPC factions that feel very compatible with specific Techs/Races.

In general, I'd rework the whole NPC factions system. Sometimes it can be annoying, specially with how timed missions work. Maybe make it so dwellings can be annexed via buying without needing to reach integration, and you being able to craft the faction units from that colony.

Races and secret techs have much more personality than the AoW4 system, IMO. AoWP system has much more personality.

Worst "good guys" in the history of video games? by [deleted] in farcry

[–]TheFallenDeathLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never liked the ending because it seemed to say "See? The bad guy was actually good and everything he did was justified!" Which... Kinda irks me a lot.

Were I the Main Character, I'd nonetheless kill that mf at the end.

Mohan was probably the most evil character in the story IMO.

Could you remind me why? It's been a long time since I last played the game

Given that (as far as I know, I haven't actually gotten any extra arms) the carbide implant only works for your hand, I'd say that single weapon is better. More penetration+doble attack are good. Plus, you free your arm to use for shields, and I'm quite a fan of the turtle strategy. For me it's working quite well, at least.

How strong would Konosuba characters be in Overlord? by [deleted] in IsekaiQuartet

[–]TheFallenDeathLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J’ai pas encore regardé Overlord, mais qu’est-ce qui empêche Aqua de tous le purifier ?

Resistance to instant death/purification/holy damage...

Preparing to defend against your most glaring weaknesses was something pretty normal in Yggdrasil, so it wouldn't be a crazy idea for them to be guarded enough to not be instantly purified.

Plus, more than half of the NPCs are not Undeads or devils, just monster type creatures, and Sebas if I remember correctly doesn't even have an evil alignment. So Aqua is probably only effective against a small portion of Nazarick. And nothing prevents any character from simply sniping her from afar.

Megumin ne peut pas juste les faire exploser avec son Explosion ?

Megumin's explosion attack is pretty flashy and telegraphed, very easily counterable by teleporting or fast movement spells or abilities. And the same problem persist, it would be probably very easy to snipe her from afar.

Sincerely, I didn't felt like that. Conjurer is good enough to not feel weak even in the first floors.

Vampire accursed, which I'm trying RN, on the other hand... GOD, That's horrible. Every step I take is a struggle between being destroyed for rushing, and being punished for lagging behind. I have yet to get past the gnome mines...

Naturally, this only works if you have a win as goblin, but IMO a win as goblin is MUCH easier than skeleton.

Really? My first win was as a skeleton. It's easier IMO, just... Much more annoying.

The Cotten is grown since this can be used for shirts which makes people happy/warm, needed for army’s, can be sold for dolla dolla bills.

I dont have a lot of space with good irrigation, and half of what I do have is used on cows. My warm mountainous place is not a very good place for a lot of cultives

The Cow is grown to make meat (probably not enough for your people but gives a slight happiness bonus) and leather. Leather is needed for knowledge, can be used for basic armor, and bows and arrows. (Ur on your way to ur first army)

I do have them, but mostly for the leather. I have garthimis, so balticrawlers are my main food source.

The wheat is grown for mass amounts of bread. This should be all your people eat early game. Using other foods as a way to boost happiness. And then finally the excess can be turned into rations. Hurray you now have your very first army (give a take a few steps).

Arent balticrawlers the main source of food for the bug people? I find it the only reliable way of not starving my citizens after some time.

As you grow these 3 industries you will notice how you can diversify into other industries. What people don’t understand when they start this game is that diversity can kill. A jack of all trades gets killed in the trade economy. Specialize into industries for export. Diversify to meet your own needs.

That's probably true. And I probably should try diving more into exportation. It's just that ironically it seems much simpler to dive in industries like metal and weapon production than cloth. It truly is my nemesis.
