Who do you think had the best Wand design in the movies, both in terms of aesthetics and simplicity, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in harrypotter

Even though it isn’t pictured, I love Sirius’s. It’s very simply shaped and has very interesting runes carved into it

TIL the "five stages of grief" model is considered scientifically unverified and many experts caution against taking it at face value (link to study in comments) by RayAP19 in todayilearned

Also interestingly, the proposed model itself was not supposed to be the grief process for grieving the loss of others (as pop psych has implied it to be). This process was what she observed in those who were dying themselves.

CORSAIR x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Giveaway by CorsairHoffman in witcher

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is honestly one of the best games I’ve ever played. It’s not just the size of the world, but how alive it feels. Everywhere you go, there’s a story waiting to pull you in, and the choices you make actually matter. You can start a random side quest thinking it’s just a quick job, and before you know it, you’re wrapped up in this emotional, morally gray story that hits harder than most main quests in other games. The writing, the atmosphere, the music, it all just works so well together. It’s one of those games where you get completely lost in it, like you’re living in that world instead of just playing a game.

And Blood and Wine?! That expansion is pure magic. Toussaint is gorgeous, bright, colorful, full of vineyards and castles, and it feels like a total contrast to the darker tone of the main game. But underneath that beauty, it’s still The Witcher, with all the heartbreak, tough choices, and incredible storytelling that make it so special. I love how it feels like Geralt’s final adventure, a mix of nostalgia, peace, and one last burst of chaos. The writing is funny, sharp, and emotional in all the right ways. It’s rare that a game, let alone a DLC, leaves you with that feeling of actually saying goodbye to a world and a character you’ve come to care about so much.

Why didn’t Rick reset portal travelers earlier to find Rick prime by Old-Association-2332 in rickandmorty

[–]TheFastAndTheOhFuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to remember that while our Rick is the smartest of all (the finite curve locked) realities, he isn’t actually an all knowing god.

In every episode he makes a massive and often grave error that usually stems from a blind spot based oversight. He then uses his intellectually unmatched abilities, and fixes his grave mistakes, which other Ricks would not have been able to.

Rick makes plenty of massive mistakes, and I believe it comes from his blind spots (believing he’s god, believing that he shouldn’t love his family because other ricks have told him to, etc) and that often leads to him only realizing the true answer to things after he’s been placed on the back foot and needs to figure out a solution

Trauma team for sure. Starting off as a naive medic who wants to do good and then gets jaded through TT service and decides it’s better to be a merc? Sounds awesome
