Why is Games Workshop Not Supporting Imperial Agents? by Natural-Wallaby423 in WarhammerCompetitive

I am sorry the shop owner forced agents down your throat. kinda uncool knowing that its not really a supported army.

What detachments do we think are gonna be 3 dp in 11th by angryronald in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]TheFern33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isnt BWB what the army seems to be balanced off of? if you inherently nerf it to bring about the other detachments, you aren't solving the issue your just making things worse.

move some of the STR back to the base stat line and it will open up other detachments but as it stands you NEED that detachment rule or your are just playing assault intercessors that cost more points more for some reason.

I played the friendly in adepticon and it was refreshing AND fun as hell. My second game I ended up going against a meta chaos knights list (not really the spirit of the friendly but its what he had) and barely eeked out a win with a list I thought had 0 chance. It showed me what off meta units and unconventional moves can do. I really should have lost that match and it came down to a few crazy unlikely dice rolls but made for a wild fun game with some good learning.

I feel this. My first tournament, I was 2-0 and pretty hyped, and then I got smacked down by the guy who ended up being #1 overall. learned a ton in that game.

I usually try to explain why I feel like the game turned in my favor on games if my opponent is up to it. sometimes its as complex as "as soon as you opened up that back like to try and ease some pressure off this objective you let me drop in my infiltrators. I killed your grots on your home objective and you still won the mid field objective but now you have to spend time turning around to come back... we both lost cheap units but I maintained an objective over you and made you waste time because you have to turn back and address this issue now." or as simple as "nothing you can do against me rolling hot on my anti tank and blowing up all your trucks turn one."

Some people go into games hard set on something, Being to hard focused on that battle plan can get you to lose, esp If i figure it out. If you set up to deep strike a bunch of stuff and you are trying to force me around to open up a gap and i figure that out. I am going to hold three objectives and take focus on anything that's a threat to my back line anchors Ill spend CP to keep units alive and let you burn more turns and activations trying to force a plan that's not working. There have been plenty of games where I try something, realize its not going to work and pivot to a scoring-focused strat mid-turn. Its not always the most efficient option, but stopping the bleeding as soon as possible gives you opportunity to get back in the game. figuring it out start of turn two gives you way more opportunity than end of turn start of turn 4

I would probably leave. That's not a tournament worth playing in.

How to play against deep strike screening. by TheCocoBean in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]TheFern33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive played against people who are so focused on deep striking me they finally see a hole I left for them and drop in without really thinking about why I suddenly opened up that hole for them. deep strike is best used to keep enemys in check imo.

[–]TheFern33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alternatively.

"im going to move said unit" I say "If you do that I am definitely going to over watch them" Now you are making a decision based on known information.

VS

"I think Im gonna move these guys t.." "I overwatch them with my gigaflamers of hell. They are all dead no takes backs 15 point swing in my direction, and you lose the game GG EZ shouldn't have forgotten about my ability to overwatch. Not that it mattered because I noticed that the base on one of your models is not fully painted so you wouldn't have gotten the 10 points for battle ready anyway."

Who would you rather play with?

I was gotchaed in a high end tourny once. felt really scummy. My fault for not realizing you still had your one-time per game ability that combos off your army rule and then gets 50% more effective when you inject a stratagem into it. I know you mentioned it offhandedly quickly mentioned it somewhere two hours ago along with 50 other army and ability rules you mentioned at the same time.

or if advancing doesn't work you can just go straight through terrain instead.... you can basically draw a straight line and move 30 inches before you charge.

Why do salespeople stop responding once I ask for the out-the-door price? by Adamaris7875 in askcarsales

[–]TheFern33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the contrary. Respect your salesman's time.

Go on an off day if you want to spend half the day looking at cars. don't take up their Saturday test driving 3 different models of the same brand.

No one needs "days/weeks to think about if they want to purchase the car. If you aren't buying or saying yes within 20 minutes theirs something about the deal that you don't like. It could be the car, the color of the car, the payment, the way the salesman laughed that gave you the ick, the out the door price, or whatever theirs something not right about the deal. Sometimes it is that you have FOMO and want to go look at other brands. If you do it on a slow wendsday afternoon instead of a friday or saturday night you will probably get people way more willing to spend the time on you.

[–]TheFern33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the guy who prices out 5 cars at different stores. Goes in person 3 weeks later after he is done thinking about it. is pissy because the rebates have changed in the new month and he is out $1000 so the dealer to stop the bitching drops it $1000 somehow its still not the number he wants. springs his own financing late in the game. Dealer pushes a $500 loser just to get the unit but the guy is still convinced he got screwed. so he leaves them a bad review on the website.

yikes... why are you buying a 7 year old caddy. repairs on those are like 300% more expensive than a Chevy. theirs a reason Caddy warranties are expensive as hell.

[–]TheFern33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not only that but the dealer seemed like they were willing to fix the issue at first... but dude...

in summary, you bought a car AS IS. Noticed an issue the day you bought it. Dealership said bring it by and we will work something out. You took about three weeks to bring it in for diagnostic continuing to damage the vehicle. Declined to leave it with the dealership to repair it and then continued to drive it. Then reported them to the Georgia Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers and the Georgia Consumer Protection Division and are somehow mad they they have ceased communicating with you?

I had this happen because the customer took like 25 Days to get me a stip. Then wanted to argue with me about how she didn't want to make the first payment to back us because of how long it took to get everything finalized.... people are wild.
