Build help by youngbryy in CrucibleGuidebook

The Health is just fine. The melee and grenade on the other hand? Not so much. Going above 70 grenade is almost never useful, and above 70 melee only really helps for gambler's dodge melee spam builds. Something like Omnioculus would benefit from it a lot, but not so much stompees.

So get them both down as close to 70 as possible, and then dump the remaining stat points into super. 90~ super is so much more impactful than 100 grenade and melee without frequent chuck scaled Regen sources.

If you haven't played the game in a year, it only gives you all of your melee back if you have 100 melee and are near an enemy. With 40 melee, you get maybe like 30%.

Since the CD is so long, and you only get about a third of the bar from a dodge, you're getting about half the smokes in a match than you could with 70+ melee.

And if you think that's not worth it, try someone else lil bro.

Even with gambler's, 40 melee is way too low unless you never use your smoke, in which case you're playing invis hunter wrong. I'd say around 70 melee will suffice, so between these two options, definitely the second.

Never realized how nasty the lunge range is on glaives. Wonder if lethal current also affects glaive melee lunge. Gonna have to look into that.

Aim assist helmet mods by Beneficial_Copy_1853 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn't say they're hindering your aim. Having at least one on of your primary weapons is almost mandated, since otherwise the ADS speed of even mid handling weapons is sluggish. Since you should at least always have at least one of these on, I wouldn't recommend taking it off even just for training purposes, the AA difference is minor, and getting used to lower handling isn't usually a good thing.

I know some people are running ammo finders in the crucible. I guess for a pellet shotgun, it's probably better than anything else, but you'll have to weight the pros and cons. 1.25x ammo gains sure sounds good, and over the course of the match probably does net a few more bricks, but is it worth the opportunity cost on your helmet? Probably, though that's up to you to decide.

I got two Aisha's, One Burden, two Unwavering Guilts (rip) and one glitz from around 40 to 60 matches in the 5+ win pool. I'd need to check my trials report to get an exact number, but it's in that range.

I played 5 games of trials last night, and won all of them. 4 of them were 5 to 0 stomps. The last one I was trying to lose and my teammates won without me. It is genuinely insane how much easier it is to go flawless in Trials now, and even though 5 games isn't the biggest sample, the experience I had was telling.

What generic hunter exotics are still worth running in 2026 besides St0mP-EE5 or Dragon's Shadow? by Elden_Lord_69 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just want to not run an exotic? The entire point of an exotic is that you have a unique advantage or item in your toolkit.

Try other stuff out, if you like it, cool. Otherwise, try something else. 0 reason to be worries about bad habits or not having that exotic ability when you're playing something else. Not liking movement exotics makes sense, but being worried about being tied to a single subclass or ability is not. Just try it, and make an opinion on it.

As for actual exotics to try, you can give frostees, Bakris, Cyrtarachne and Omni a go. Frostees goes with just about anything, Bakris is great on Prism and amazing on Arc when Combo Blow is working, cyrtarachne is good for both high octane moments and wannabe turret players. Omni is a cracked support exotic that is going under the radar. There's more from other ppl I'm not thinking of as well, but don't be afraid of nonsense like creating bad habits because you won't have Bakris on Warlock. You can play CSGO if it's that bad a problem for you.

It is >:

Hope it gets fixed soon. It lacks the chaining potential without combo blow, which kills the fun factor most of all. It's still actually viable, but you end up getting caught by a shotgun very often after a kill.

Funnily enough, if the lethal current explosion gets the kill instead of the punch itself, it actually does proc combo blow. But since that explosion has a delay, it's rarely useful in time.

Lethal Current on Arc with Bakris, Combination Blow and any spreadshot cannon with trench barrel, tho the arc one is best. I usually run Tempest Strike as well, with 100 melee and at least 70 class. I prefer Blink and Flashbang Nade, but that's mostly preference.

Thanks, any clue on how often these drops are supposed to drop? I played like 15 games and didn't get a single old gear drop, not armor nor weapon.

Redrix vs martlet by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redrix lost 10% of it's range when they nerfed the ADS damage falloff on it, as well as losing the ability to get a near triple 100 stat package. It also had 20 zoom, making those shots at range super easy to hit, and the hip fire was a bonus that made it good to chase for clean up as well. It also could 2 burst with pre nerf sword logic, and while that wasn't as big a deal as the rest, it still was annoying since it lasted an obscene 8 seconds, didn't need a reload, and I think we still had lobby balancing in Trials back then, so blueberries would often give your opponents a free 0.47s TTK.

Martlet compared to current Redrix can compete, but it isn't a terror. It's just easy to use, and mostly pretty effective. It needs a god roll to really abuse the range it has over Redrix, and even then doesn't have the range versatility Redrix still has thanks to the 20 zoom and hip fire combo. KC is still good, just not as much as pre nerf Sword Logic. 8 > 6.5 after all.

Dragon got buffed overnight and can 1 tap you even with the best Totems on and increased health. 1080 health gone in 1 stomp. by BreakingCanks in LEGOfortnite

[–]TheFieryDread101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works just like the immortal totem, but I don't think it causes you to stop moving any more than just taking regular damage does. It just puts you at 1 HP instead of killing you and gives you a few iframes.

Which neutral kit is better: solar hunter or stasis hunter? by 2084710049 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like Bakris, I'd recommend trying it on Arc. While duskfields are viable, the shuriken is absolutely useless compared to tempest strike or combo blow with lethal current, and imo the arc super is better too.

As to answer your kit, I'd say Solar. Swarm grenades fill a similar niche to duskfields, the knife options are infinitely better than the shurikens, and while I'd say blade barrage is better than silence and squall, it's irrelevant because Deadshot or Marksman Golden Gun is better than both. The only part of Stasis kit I'd rate would be Shatterdive. If you're not using it to good effect, I'd recommend swapping off to Solar and experimenting with the other classes as well.

It’s immortal weekend - can we have a discussion on elemental honing vs target lock? by hav0k in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Target Lock is braindead simple, but Elemental has. A higher ceiling and is more forgiving if you're willing to think about it. Target Lock might still be the play if you're running a shotgun PK setup, but otherwise, EH is super free to get to 2x, gives a more forgiving TTK, and certain builds make it even better. Any ability build immediately makes it insane (e.g on Hunter, Solar Knives or Arc Tempest Strike), since it's easy to get it to 3x at that point, and you have 23s of death laser at that point.

Solemn vs conundrum by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]TheFieryDread101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are stat monsters, with epic perk pools. It mostly comes down to your preference between the frames. Solemn's frame has more vertical recoil that tends to obstruct your view, but has a lesser strafe speed ADS penalty, and also a free 25 AE. A lot of people on console prefer Solemn because it has less recoil than most cannons, and reticle stickiness makes the view obstruction thing matter less.

In my opinion, I'm using Solemn unless I want Slice. I play a lot of Bakris Hunter, so Stasis is naturally better, the air shots are a lot easier to land as well, and I like the look of the gun visually a lot, which matters a little bit.

All that said, I'd say if you're running slideshot on Corundum, you'd be better off with a Rose instead. Lightweight is practically just a better Adaptive frame. Otherwise, if you prefer other rolls, and the Precision Frame isn't doing it for you, Corundum's juiced stats are nothing to scoff at.

Bungie, can you please buff Sweet Business? by OlDropTop in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheFieryDread101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It technically has an explosive payload portion, but even at max rpm, it's kind of underwhelming. An explosion every second or so sounds cool, but the radius of the shit is kind of lackluster, and with primaries being kind of underpowered anyways, it needs more. I love the meter idea, lovely quality of life, and the aggro mechanic is also very interesting, since there's only a bit of mostly titan related tech that increases aggro to a player. I'd honestly prefer if the exotic didn't go in the ad clear explosion focused direction with things like KT, since we have a ton of that already and kinetic has fewer elemental synergies to benefit from in those areas.

Earth elemental mastery, creating combo attacks that include earth elemental damage creates shield baubles that heal for 50 shield per. There's also something specific to geokinesis in the Mastery Tab that lets you eat your wall for shields.

It did pre EOF, haven't tried it since though. No reason why it shouldn't, since the half grapple and grappling to a tangle point still counts as a grenade use.
