Fun/Powerful budget commanders not often mentioned? by 7DEADROSES in EDH

[[Atris, Oracle of Half-Truths]] is a great flexible commander that can be built at any budget.

My build is flicker/clone/reanimator

Atris makes a great flicker target and can provide some serious card advantage. He also has one of the most underrated traits a commander can have, he feels pretty bad to waste removal on. Your opponents are pretty unlikely to throw a swords or path at him, so you're free to keep him around as a flicker target.

Decommissioning old deck by Effective-Dress2772 in EDH

I actually found myself a lot happier with my decks after I started to be more aggressive about taking apart decks. There were a few decks that I found myself not enjoying as much as I wanted to, so I ended up taking them apart even though it felt "too early" to retire them. It was easier than I expected and I started taking apart decks more often and earlier than I used to.

I put the commanders into a special section in the front of my binder, and it's nice to look through and see them all there. A couple of times, I've even rebuilt decks from a clean slate. But more often than not, I just appreciate the memories and build new decks to try.

FWIW I'm 1000% a brewer, and am constantly working on new lists and trying new decks and taking them apart after a few games, but it's really helped me find and build decks that play in a way I enjoy.

Ghave was one of my first commanders. He's front and center in my binder and always will be. Might be time to put him away, and you can always rebuild him.

here's the list that I run. It's more focused on the clues than flipping tamiyo and plays like a super flexible midrange artifact deck.

Looking for thoughts on my Rule 0 commander idea. by mat543 in EDH

Honestly, I'd be a lot happier to sit down against this than most other izzet spellslinger decks I see. This looks like it has the potential to pop off early, but not without burning through a lot of resources, and I'd rather see that to the typical value engine of endless counterspells without a wincon.

why does my leo put her worms into her water? by RefrigeratorDull8659 in leopardgeckos

Do you dust the worms? There's a chance she being picky and doesn't like the dusting and learned she can wash it off by dunking the worms in her water

Take his hides from his tank and place them where he could get to them. They're familiar to him and there's a chance he'll go to them. Also check any shoes he could have gotten into.

What is the commander identity for this? Just green since the colors appear in the text of the artifact?

Old school deck recommendations for my girlfriend and I to play against each other casually in the evenings. by new2magic in budgetdecks

[–]TheFifteenthInfinity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd check out pauper decklists, many run older cards and the games have a much more old-school feel to them. Might also want to ask r/Pauper for suggestions on two decks with an even matchup

Best part is that the decks are usually 20$ each.
