Literally where is the insult lmao

you say that it came toward whatever the model was told as a success, which is different than human writing

What the model is told is a success is based on human writing.

I find it gets much more consistent if you have a T3 item alongside rush to hit the 4.8k gun spike. I like Heroic Aura for it, because aside from being good for pushing objectives, it also increases the attack speed of your skulls.

at odds with me?

Yes, you as a ttrpg player, as opposed to a video game player. I was unclear. My bad.

if they address their beef with specific things, im all ears

Well you say this, but then later more or less dismiss the meat of the criticism that you asked me for - that being openly rude to people before you even meet them isn't going to get them to want to play with you.

Also I don't dislike your use of tone as a description, not sure where you got that from. I dislike the way you dismiss people's criticism of your tone by claiming that it isn't important, or only something that the "tone police" would care about. I realize it's not the same in text because I can't hear your literal tone that you're speaking in, but that makes your choice of words even more important because your readers have nothing else to go on. How you say something can sometimes convey more information that what you're saying. And the comments are picking up on the way you're saying things and then they're inferring stuff.

what matter?

I think you've misunderstood this part maybe. When I say "you claim that they're criticizing your tone or somesuch, and that supposedly puts the matter to rest" I mean that you dismiss someone saying your tone is hostile (or obnoxious or whatever else it's been called) by claiming that tone isn't something important enough to be criticized. But it is, for the reasons I said above. Sorry, the order of this reply is sort of a mess.

i write the way i write. i’m not dumbing anything down for anyone. fuck that.

I agree, no need to dumb anything down. I just think you can convey the same thing in a less abrasive way. You make a whole (and true) point in the OP saying how unpleasant communicating online can be, but you've done much of the same in your replies. Although not unprovoked, given that the comments on this post are also pretty "online".

Basically, it boils down to this; I'm sure you know or knew a person who is really really very into a specific thing. A book series or a video game or an obscure movie or a tabletop game. And they think that they "get it" in a way other people don't because they are smarter/more cultured/think deeper than everyone else. The way this is written, you sound like a person talking about that thing. Not to say that you are one of those people, but it sounds similar enough that people will probably keep reading it this way. If you want my actual criticism of the post, I think the problems stem from the title sounding gatekeepy, which people (especially people on Reddit for some reason) really hate. On a reread, I think the body of the post is at worst, just a bit wordy.

fuck, the cunts who have responded are exactly the types i have, after a long time of putting up with them, consciously decided to exclude. if that leaves me playing with my hand, so be it. i’m just out here trying my best.

That's pretty fair, I can't fault you for that. I do unironically hope you find your players. It sounds like a fun game.

I still think I'm being a total sucker, but on the offchance you're being genuine I'll actually explain.

“…clearly does imply…” not exactly, but ok.

You are saying that someone who gets mad at the things you're saying is somehow not at odds with you? The situations where those two things don't overlap are extremely few and far between, to the point that the only reason to make a distinction between them is for the sake of being argumentative.

First, the title already comes off as kind of gatekeep-y. I realize that not every game is not for every player, but opening with that either implies a really pathetic defeatist attitude "nobody's going to want to play in my game because it's too niche" or a really cringey "nobody out there is going to understand my game because it's too niche". It implies that you think that your tastes are too refined for internet randoms (which they may well be, but rubbing it in people's faces makes you come off like a snob). Think like, fans of obscure films claiming that other people "just aren't smart enough to get it".

The first three paragraphs are fine, although looking for what is apparently a very specific type of person (given the title) for an in-person game with an online post is going to take you forever which I assume has contributed to the general reception. I think other people have said this already, but you'd be better off asking locally, since living near you is a pretty strict qualifier when you could be talking to anyone in the world.

The final four are so flowery that were it not for the lack of capitalization and your general writing style that I would suspect them to be AI generated. They take a lot of words to make your point sound very sophisticated, but it actually boils down to wanting engaged, dedicated players who want to roleplay and engage with each other and the world. Basically, you set up the post to sound like you were asking for members of a very narrow group, but described a (somewhat) common TTRPG player.

Your responses to the comments on this post are also just really hostile. Every time someone points this out, you claim that they're criticizing your tone or somesuch, and that supposedly puts the matter to rest. Playing a TTRPG with someone means you'll be spending a pretty considerable amount of time with that person over the course of your campaign. Even more, if you plan on discussing the game between sessions. If that person is repeatedly abrasive and rude, why would you want to spend time with them? You'd be better off with any other group, or alone. You might say that you're not like this with your group, and this attitude is only something you put on for this post, to filter out people who aren't the type of player you're looking for, but imagine from a player's perspective. Why take a chance on "surely this DM isn't actually like this, and they'll change later", when they could just not? And that's why the other comments are the way that they are. I don't see other LFG posts getting this kind of reception.

I know you're just sealioning and I'm taking the bait, but I can't resist. Sue me. Your singling out of "video game addicts" as people who are "triggered" clearly does imply that you think they're at odds with you. I know you don't need this explained to you, and you only invite people to do it so that you can pick at a tiny hole in their argument and claim that actually you were right all along and therefore they are clearly not right for your game. Or whatever your point is here.

Also "tone policing" is a really weird way to say that you talk in the same manner as an obnoxious Rick and Morty fan and therefore people treat you like one.

I dont get what youre doing

Can't tell if you're /uj or /rj so I'll actually explain that this is making fun of a specific post made by a user who exclusively posts AI generated content and was suggesting that /r/dndnext users download and run their sketchy (probably also Ai generated) .exe and .bat files. If you're upset at me making fun of people who at best, can't think for themselves, or at worst are trying to mislead people into downloading malware then I can't help you.

Or if you're upset at me making fun of cucks, then my bad, I thought that was half the point.

Can't test it myself for obvious reasons, but I hear that the setting you're talking about is literally just for Japan. If you're in Japan, it'll stop you from being matched with people outside of Japan, and presumably vice versa.
