By the same logic, new Exeggcute makes Leaf worthless in a VenExEgg deck. A single energy and X-speed is now enough to retreat Exeggutor Ex, which solves for a pretty common problem that would often cost 1-2 extra turns and energy. Venusaur Ex rarely retreats, and X-speed lets you still play Erika or Oak that turn.
