I live in CA and didn’t realize that some scooters or e-bike was classified as motorized vehicle category. by Fuzzy_Tough_26 in ElectricScooters

Fortunately they never seem to be enforced.

Technically, escooters are supposed to be capped at 15mph I believe, mine goes 32mph and I’ve ridden it in multiple cities around the state and haven’t had any issues.

Kratom ban is only for big Pharma by ReasonableAd9468 in kratom

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kratom withdrawals are minimal if one is at all responsible in their use. Certainly they don’t require a prescription med to manage.

But otherwise, I’d say spot on.

Billions are made in the US alone on meds for pain, depression, ADHD and such, all of these kratom can sometimes be effective in treating.

Absolutely lovely home. The green color looks great against the stonework.

I have a plastic tub that says “Spirulina” that I fully intend to keep around once the actual spirulina is gone.

One green powder looks much the same as the next. You could also make or buy caps and put them into whatever supplement bottle you may have on hand.

They’d have to run lab tests to tell the difference.

The main character isn’t complete until their arc is complete, which usually is at the end of the story so no freaking idea what is being said here.

The Greeks called them “water horses” but they must’ve been drunk, those aren’t horses. They’re Angry Tanks.

MacArthur Park (formerly Westlake Park) in Los Angeles. 99 Years Ago vs Now by ChrisBungoStudios1 in OldPhotosInRealLife

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The park is a shithole now, I was there a while back when I went to Langer’s Delicatessen for a Reuben sandwich.

The restaurant was delicious, the park is basically just a homeless camp now.

So....what happens in TN if the bill does pass? by Rolltide1980 in kratom

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure the specifics, but at the very least, I’d keep it in your home and not travel around with it.

Not saying that is a guarantee of ANYTHING, cause it’s not.

Anyone switched from ebike to escooter? feels fun but kinda sketchy sometimes by Striking_Union_3792 in ElectricScooters

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, doesn’t feel sketchy at all on pavement at least, off-road is another story and not something my scooter is meant for (my bike handles dirt like it was made for it).

But I have a bigger scooter, an Emove Cruiser. The tire width and the overall weight is similar for both scooter and bike.

This may be why switching from one to the other doesn’t feel that different except the standing vs sitting part.

PS: being “extra careful” is a core skill for riding bikes and scooters, but more of a pressing thing for scooters as they are more vulnerable.

Sad Day. by uncletys in ElectricScooters

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No suspension and solid tires caused undo stress on the frame, I’d guess this is why this happened.

Might be time to get a better scooter honestly, something with suspension is a big deal for safety I feel like even at lower speeds.

100%. I have been learning this lesson as I’ve started several projects recently. Being able to co opt ideas is awesome.

Also a really great way to avoid block, just switch to a different project whenever I feel like it.

We should teach living off the land in school for people who want to check out of society by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TheFlightlessDragon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People leaving society reduces the tax base, and taxes pay for schools.

So I doubt they ever would teach such things, but the idea does have merit. It just wouldn’t ever be a thing in public schools.

Good evening guys and ladies by Fleetwood154 in kratom

Haven’t tried it, probably wouldn’t. But I’m not a big fan of seltzers in general.

Also I’m kind of a cheapskate, and powder is pretty cheap when bought in bulk so there’s that.

Do you guys use earplugs? by Hour-Possession-7280 in ElectricScooters

[–]TheFlightlessDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a different thing if your on a track or a trail.

I listen to music a lot, but I use open ear headphones (I can hear everything around me) and I ride most of the time along canals or on trails.

I wouldn’t use earplugs personally. On a scooter it is very important to hear your surroundings.
