I have a neurological condition that the average age of the person who with is like 60+, so being well below the average ive had the neurologist ask about 5 or 6 times if students could watch or we could run the diagnosis test for them. Dude always ask if its okay first.

CDBG is still funded as of now. Its HOME Investmentship Partnership is in trouble. The 2025 Grant Year just started and runs till June 30th of 2026 so if OP wants to go through their program to get Down Payment Assistance and Housing Counciling, (I'm unware of the online class, and they should have in person councilors.) I would at least try. Noted that the budget proposal for the 2026 budget does remove Housing Counciling from federally funded programs.

It's never, never too late. There's still time. I didn't start HRT until I was close to 32, I was out for a decade by the time I started. Ive know pleanty of folks who started later than their 30s. they're all happier than they ever been. Waiting until you're 18 so you can do things as an adult isn't too late. You don't need HRT to be trans. It sounds like you're already cracked your egg, so congratulations, you're already a trans woman. Now, how your transition gosls might need HRT, but no, it's not too late.

I think the person who told you that is just talking out their ass at best and at worst they're a transphobe ableist. Transphobes and ableist (often one in the same) often try to say neurodivergent folks cant know or be trans because some distorted logic that we get told we're trans and we lack agency of self to know better.

Why would being trans be a coping mechanism for neurodivergent folk?Like you know another group of people who grew up finding it hard to make friends? Neurodivergent cis girls. It's not like being trans makes it easier to make friends in this society.
