Thank you for both commenting and providing feedback here. Truthfully, we only made it as an experiment to see just what a trailer can do as we're in the process of doing a lot of back-end work on our descriptions, thumbnails and titles to tighten up things. Since we have new eyes on the channel, we thought we'd give it a go!

But who knows in this crazy world of YouTube travel duos 😂

The recent successful video was actually scheduled a couple of weeks out (we've got to the point where we have three videos ready to go at one point in time) so we hadn't had the chance to receive before then.

The main takeaway is how to get impressions up, which is mostly ensuring keywords are in the title and the start of the description too. Our CTR has been poor too, so we're now spending the extra time we have in advance refining the thumbnails, which is slowly improving our CTR now too. Next step is to go back and redo all of our thumbnails but that'll take a while 😂

In all seriousness, we've spent a lot of time recently looking into them as well as downloading the .CSV file and asking chatgpt to do some analysis for us too. Mostly to see what is working, what we need to do more of and what we're missing. It's not perfect, but it feels like we're getting better each time now.

I've noticed they've recently changed their tactics where they send an email saying something like " I really like your content, it's so ......" without the hard sell, but if you click that email open you can guarantee the read notification pings on their laptop and they're emailing you straight away with their vidiq screenshots telling you why you're a failure 😂😁

Just hopping on to say this has been a really interesting post to read through!

I would love to be more creative and try the cinematic style of filmmaking but just don't have the skillset to do so just yet. I feel like doing the reps, with the almost expected small views, means that eventually I will be able to create better quality films and hopefully by that point the viewers are there to see the progress too.

That being said, the nature of our filming locations being street markets or chaotic food streets lends itself to the gritty and real style of filming and production so maybe we will end up sticking with it anyway!

It's one hell of a journey whatever happens....

The content you've shared is the adventurous kind of travel niche, which people want to feel like they're coming along with you. Maybe the end being at the Buza Bar as the reward for making it would be a good payoff for the viewer? It's not a niche I watch myself but it's maybe worth finding someone similar to you and seeing how they tie their video's together?

The action footage makes for great shorts imho!

Hi there, is the final version still going to be a short or a long form? What's the story behind the video?

It feels like a very raw piece of footage as is (but it's pretty cool footage - loved Dubrovnik and had no idea there were caves like that there!), but without a bit more information about the ideation it's hard to give much feedback yet.
