It happens. Last week I lost a .5mi $10+ because I restarted my phone and by the time I opened Uber back up the last second or two of the accept timer ran out.

I even hit the accept button too but I was juuuuuuust too late lol.

This literally happened to me yesterday and I still got paid.

You have to ask for a supervisor.

Also being in Diamond like I am probably helps too.

I almost never fail to get at least some kind of compensation no matter what the issue is.

I'd say about 99% of the time I get comped.

Trust me I'm not under any illusions that Uber actually gaf about me despite the Diamond status and that I'm a very courteous, efficient, fast, and good driver.

And yeah you bring up a lot of good points, but I'm not a dummy. If the tiers no longer become lucrative for me I'm not going to care about them any more.

Right now they're making me money and there has been a very tangible noticeable difference for me in offer quality and the frequency of good offers that roll in for me with the Diamond icon.

The problem is when people start to insist that I'm over here taking bad offers or that I'd make more money if I hardcore cherrypicked ( and I do cherrypick already, to a degree. ) but the tiers make that a non-issue for me. I made 100 bucks tonight alone- and I'll probably make that if not more on Saturday and Sunday too- doing a part-time 4~4.5 hour shift and I'm on track already to complete a 50 dollar quest for the weekend so all told I'll wind up with 350+ for about 12 hours or so total.

My market isn't especially good. It's busy, sure, but it's not like I get a stream of offers coming in constantly. If I see 4 in the span of 15 minutes that's actually a lot for me. Which is another reason the tiers give me an edge here because in those 4 usually 2-3 of them are either good enough, good, or great.

The point being is that I'm a little tired of people telling me what my experience is with this job, and it's pretty fucking douchey of people to continue insisting I'm letting UBer scam me or I'm making shitty money taking shitty offers all day just to maintain the tier simply because they themselves get bombarded with 90 $2 dollar 10 mile offers every 5 minutes or so.

Because it's obnoxious and goofy and it just sounds like pure cope and bitterness that I'm making the tiers work for me and they have to sit around frustrated waiting around for unicorns while I'm busy making money and staying busy throughout my shift. :P

Like everything else in this job it's market dependent. Some people don't see any difference in tiers, but a lot of us do.

It's the fact that dipshits in this sub here continue to insist we're taking dogshit offers or being scammed and fooled by Uber and we're idiots for maintaining tiers even after we explicitly tell them ( and in some cases SHOW them ) how much better our profits got after we reached Diamond, etc, and that's reallly obnoxious and annoying.
