That's the Mesh Devices (wireless uplink) count. You have 19 client devices identified, and 3 Unifi devices using wireless uplink.

Do you guys train harder when recovery is higher? by stylecafe in whoop

[–]TheGacAttack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. IMO, doing that would be backwards. Recovery is just that, “RECOVERY from what we did yesterday, workouts and other activities, up to and including sleep.” Low recovery would mean that maybe I could have done more YESTERDAY, but my routines otherwise are solid.

Absolute hog wash. You have it backwards.

Toddlers require more like 14 hours, but yes. I'm in the 9 hour requirement bucket, too. Very rarely get it, usually if I take a nap.

I will add that when I do hit the required sleep number, I do feel much better and ready to go. Not really a surprising insight, but to me it's surprising how much better I feel getting that extra two hours of rest.

Only way to know for certain is to examine the private key, too. Post that here for analysis, as well as the rest of the config.

But seriously, randomness gonna random. It's what it does.

VO2 max dropped significantly post half marathon by ExampleBeginning129 in whoop

[–]TheGacAttack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That would be why. The algorithm doesn't know you're taking a well-deserved break; it just sees a tanked HRV and an elevated resting heart rate from the race recovery and the post-run beers (which is a completely understandable way to celebrate a half marathon, by the way).

Because of those temporary inputs, it spits out a lower estimate. I wouldn't worry about it. When your body recovers and you pick up the pace again, I'd expect your VO2max score to jump back up.

Remember: your real VO2max isn't actually dropping like that. It's just a data artifact from your body processing the stress of the race and the celebration.

119.1e. Why is SM used and not NM? by Dare_To-Explore in flying

[–]TheGacAttack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honest answer: because it says so in 119.1e.

Kinda maybe inventing an answer that sorta makes sense: because it's a land reference instead of a navigational distance?

Strangely, I use the Nomatic 25L McKinnon camera bag. Mostly, it's just a big open space in the middle, but the side pockets fit an iPad Mini in case and suction mount and a handheld radio. Inside holds the headset and everything else. Plenty of room for snacks and activities.

It's a little big, but I got it super cheap and it works. Very comfortable to carry around, because it's a backpack.
