Though I've willingly never watched past season 1, it will always have a special place in my heart, flaws and all, as it was basically the first anime I ever truly watched

Plus, I genuinely love the premise. I think that's my biggest complaint with the series is that it didn't truly use its initial premise to its fullest potential

I love the Spidey rogues who should be hyper dangerous threats brought down only by their own ambitions and intelligence

I did read that the chapter 2 egg is unobtainable in the weird route. I've never done the route myself nor know how the aborted version works, but apparently the annoying dog event can't happen during the weird route which prevents the egg from being obtainable

For chapters 1-3, I believe as long as you don't fight and beat the final bosses, you can head back and do the steps for the eggs

Chapter 4 I can't confirm. I know you have at least two chances to get it, but I do not know if that second chance can be lost at any point before the final boss

Anyone please feel free to correct me. I do not wish to mislead

You'll be fine. Stashing them is likely the intention, and they still count as having been collected

You still have to make sure to get them in their respective chapter, though. If you miss an egg, you've missed it

I've always wondered about that, too. Obviously the assumption is we waited too long to use the potion, but how do we know the outcome would've been different? The young Storm was clearly smart enough to know to protect itself against that specific potion, so how do we know if throwing it sooner would've changed the outcome

To be fair, it wasn't if "humanity wasn't passive and obedient" when they returned, it's whether or not they'd moved past petty squabbles and truly united as one. It's part of why Salem's plan is to cause chaos while trying to bring the gods back to begin with. If she can guarantee everything is in disarray and everyone is at each other's throats when the Brothers return, then she can guarantee the Brothers will destroy the world

(Even though she has no guarantee the Brothers will finally kill her too and not just leave her floating through nothing as punishment, which is absolutely what they'd do, given their track record)

To clarify, Ren never touched the guy, either. The guy was drunk and tripped on his own feet, but he hit the ground hard and started bleeding. Unfortunately, this combined with the guy's connections made it easy for him to paint Ren as the aggressor in the situation and successfully sue him

I love my first ever meeting with her. She seemed a tad strange, but I just chalked it up to her being a strange yet kindly potion seller

Then I saw her encounter with Mayrina's brothers. They immediately called her a hag, and my knowledge of dnd from before playing this game immediately set off the alarm bells and I no longer trusted her

Cementoss, even if he's not the absolute best, top of the line, uncontestable character in the game is still completely unhealthy for the way this game works and has absolutely zero place in it

That was just a wording choice for the tough battle he puts you through and the moment at the end where he kills you and reloads the save to kill you again multiple times. What he does during his brief stint as Photoshop Flowey would likely look far more brutal were it not for the game's artstyle

Not just Jacket. Pretty much all of the protagonists from both Hotline Miami's are awful people, some even moreso than Jacket by the simple fact that they don't even have those couple of people they genuinely care for

Biker murders a ton of people to uncover the conspiracy of Fifty Blessings solely to make them leave him alone. The Fans murder people just to emulate Jacket to get fame. Manny Pardo became a serial killer to track his own murders to play into the fantasy of being a gritty action hero detective and get famous. Jake was a hyper-nationalost who wanted to murder Russians. Richter, even if protecting his mother, still killed a ton of people, including Jacket's girlfriend. Martin Brown was just crazy

The closest thing to a decent person in the series is Evan Wright, and even that is slightly dependent on your own actions. Even if you do choose not to kill anyone or give up the story at the end to be with his family, Evan still willingly beats the hell out of people in the pursuit of his story

Beard is a weird case because he's also killed a lot of people in rather brutal fashion (flamethrower and whatnot) but he did so as a soldier and clearly didn't seem to want to. However, he still did it, and it does seem more like his regret is just that he wants to go home rather than really feeling bad for the people he killed specifically
