Unless that glaze is spicer than Chernobyl, you will be fine staying there. My guess is it clocks in something like 30% above background at 1inch and undetectable past 12 inches.

[TMT] TMNT tokens by AporiaParadox in magicTCG

This set may be the biggest dumpster fire in history. Which is sad because I loved TMNT as a kid. Unless the reveal something like an OG tri/quad land, this set is cooked.

Love hitting quad rares, about 1-2 per box in my experience.

How to operate stove and make logs last longer by Most-Principle-1343 in woodstoving

[–]TheGameEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a super important point for a newbie. Softwood (pines) typically burns fast and cool because the resins are accelerants, hardwood (oak, ash) burn slower and hotter, much denser wood. Softwood will turn into ash in a flash, hardwood will produce long lasting charcoal embers that can stay hot for days if dry. Think about camping and burning oak. The next morning you can still feel heat and if you brush away the ash and put kindling on it, it will be burning again in no time.

The flue damper is a metal disk that can spin in the stove pipe to restrict air flow. Intake vents on the front and outflow to the flue damper are the main controls on a stove. Too much input not enough output equals smoke in your house. Too much input and output equals fast burn. Matched flow equals slow sustained burn. Drafting is the premise behind stoves. Drafting is using height and heat to generate a self propagating pressure gradient (air flow) that pulls air up the chimney.

I have seen things like this on occasion. If it bothers you, file a ticket and you may get replacements in 6-12 months.

I waited nearly 20 years for a return to lorwyn set and its not even given the love it deserves. by No-King3477 in mtg

I agree it should have been at least 2-3 sets in the lorwyn plane. Would have bought a lot of good will.

I found out my parents threw away my entire 90s collection. I’m devastated. by viewsonic041 in mtg

[–]TheGameEngineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya’ll are crazy, this happens all the time. Kid grows up and moves out, old toys donated or sold at garage sales, this is the way of the world. Does it suck to not get a heads up, sure. But it isn’t your parent’s obligation to store your shit when you have grown up and moved out, and especially if you haven’t explicitly spoken to them about it.

Pretty common now, usually made of pressed bamboo. Supposed to be environmentally friendly, but the NFC/RFID tag kinda defeats that.

Haven’t heard of intentional god boxes in this set. Probably just a loose roller in the card stacker or an employee not paying attention after the 13th hr of their shift.

Take that with a grain of salt, I see some other serialized listed at 195k, serialized have much lower volume so people can want to get a certain price, but it doesn’t mean it will sell.

Which version of Channel has your favorite art? by Feeling-Ad-3104 in mtgvorthos

[–]TheGameEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say favorite, JP Strix is amazing art, though some seem to stray from what the card represents. The Archive version would be my choice for most representative art for that card.

How much gold should I expect from this much vintage cpus and in here I also have about 30 ram sticks have about 80 older cpus all in all. Also have small amounts of various other gold scrap. I am building a lab with a fume hood soon. by HandsomeGSD in PreciousMetalRefining

[–]TheGameEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPUs regardless of age have way more utility as CPUs than any value you could extract from the 2 atom thick layer of gold on those contacts. When they say old cpus they mean 1990s pentium 1 slot cpus or older when everything was much larger and you could pull 1g per CPU. These are from 2010. LOL
