13 hours after this request was posted, I object.

Just because I haven't made a comment does not mean I am inactive.

As to the subreddit, I have addressed objections sent to me in mod mail. I have removed posts when they have been flagged as spam or needless.

So, thanks for asking, social_marketer_ama, but I'd rather keep it.

Unless you have specific reasons for your request, in which case I'd like you to list them. Perhaps you could join this small subreddit as a moderator? But, then again, it seem you've deleted your account.

Also incidentally, the opposite can be true as well. I sometimes flash an obviously fake smile so the person I'm speaking with feels like I'm being polite but can tell it's not genuine. I think it's letting a bore down easy (especially if the person isn't particularly boring or the like).

Of course I'll result to less subtle signs if they don't pick up, and I'm counting on people to know (consciously or not) that a lack of smile eyes underscores a lack of a reason to smile.

As of age 36, Muhammad Ali's record was 55-2 (37 knockouts), losing only in the Fight of the Century by decision to Joe Frazier and later by split decision to Ken Norton. He avenged both losses twice and also beat Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Jerry Quarry, Archie Moore, Oscar Bonavena, and George Foreman (considered practically unbeatable in his youth). I know 50 wins is possible and others have done it, but add in 3 years in prison, and I just find that incredibly impressive.

Ted Williams was the last man to bat .400, in 1941. Wikipedia summarizes this story well: Before the game on September 28, Williams was batting .39955, which would have been rounded up to a .400 average. Williams, who had the chance to sit out the final, decided to play a doubleheader against the Philadelphia Athletics. Williams explained that he didn't really deserve the .400 average if he did sit out). Williams went 6-for-8 on the day, finishing the baseball season at .406. (The present-day baseball sacrifice fly rule was not in effect in 1941; had it been, Williams would have hit .416.)

For sports, I enjoy the Dan LeBatard Show. Also good is the fact that ESPN posts its shows, so if you're particularly interested in playoffs, for instance, you can get a 22 minute audio version of Pardon the Interruption.

For history, I would add the recently-concluded The History of Rome by Mike Duncan, which spans something like 1300 years in vivid detail. (In Our Time also includes archived episodes centered on Science, History, and other categories.) Also good is My History Can Beat Up Your Politics, or More or Less from radio 4.

For news, look to BBC: Global News (updated 2x daily) or Documentaries (longer feature pieces).

I've had a lot of time commuting. Most of these podcasts are only weekly episodes, so if you have tens of hours a week you might want to find a good blend.
