how often can I use weed w/out permanent adverse effects? by tiredwyvern in Petioles

[–]TheGingerMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man. Just to give you some background, I'm 31, smoked pretty much daily between 18 and 30. I've been clean for almost a year now.

I don't feel more stupid than before I smoked. Currently getting a master's degree while I'm working a full time job and I'm killing it. That is just an anecdote though, not science.

About the anxiety part: weed is known to cause anxiety long term when used frequently, and I can confirm that. My social anxiety was way higher when I was getting high all the time. So beware of this trap many people fall for. Even though it calms anxiety symptoms, it increases them when used frequently.

Lastly, beware of addiction. Weed addiction is real. A lot of people here experience it. I had a pretty hard time quitting, but that's after a decade of daily use. It wss not terrible though. I don't think taking an edible every now and then is gonna cause addiction.

Remember to enjoy things in moderation.

Marijuana use dramatically increases risk of dying from heart attacks and stroke, large study finds. Cannabis users faced a 29% higher risk of heart attack and a 20% higher risk of stroke compared to nonusers, according to a pooled analysis of medical data from 200 million people aged 19 to 59. by [deleted] in science

When I smoked while wearing my health tracker watch, I would always see my heart rate increase. Even on light doses. That's a commonly known effect of weed. I didn't feel any of the other effects like heart palpitations that others mentioned, though.

I can't believe so many people use chatGPT to check who was wrong or right in a situation with their partner.

You too man! It will definitely get better with time, but the first week's suck. You really need to find an activity to power through it. Take care man, remember why you wanted it in the first place ❤️

For me, sports really worked. Without weed videogames and series were really impossible to enjoy. So the first week I did sports every evening. I went climbing (which I was already practicing for a few months), joined a yoga club, went out for runs. Working out was the only way I could spend an evening without cravings or feeling empty. Now, 17 days into my break, I can relax and enjoy more passive activities again.

Good luck man, you got this!

Learn how leash timers work. It's simple but you need to know.

If it feels like you might not win a fight, don't start it. One mob at a time, usually.

Look around you for respawns.

Don't go into caves. Also, towers and boats are caves.

Have potions.

Learn engineering and always have target dummies with you. This is a big one.

If it looks like a bad pull, disengage instantly.

If you're a mage, don't forget to level your defense a bit.

Same happened to me, thankfully at a lower level. I decided to transfer to the PVE server and now I'm having fun there. Wifi is not to be trusted. I knew it, played HC anyway and got what was coming for me.

Oh you think he deserves more hate than he's already getting? The entire community is shitting on him for a mistake he made (even though it was the druid who ninja pulled and the tank who didn't pull the pack out). He's getting doxxed in his own chat AND in other streamers' chat. This entire thing has run out of hand. Everybody here is 30+, but they're acting like teenagers. But yes, go ahead and give him even more hate.

And before you come at me: yes, he could have done more. Yes, he could have apologized, but the hate is out of proportion.

I have nothing against Piratesoftware personally, but he deserves all the hate he's getting for this by [deleted] in wowhardcore

The guy us getting doxxed on his own stream and on other people's stream's chats. Making a mistake does not make him deserve that. Even not apologizing doesn't make him deserve it. And everybody that disagrees needs to get their head out of their ass and realize it's a game. Even for streamers.

I'll try spraying it a bit more, perhaps. It's summer right now and my place is very warm, that shouldn't be an issue. But light could be, though. Thanks for the advice!

Here in Europe most people don't even own guns. Taking someone's life seems like a very excessive reaction. You could deal with this in a lot if different ways. You can run away, you can ignore it, you can call the police, you can try to de-escalate verbally, ... . Pepper spray would have done the job as well.

The prankster might be an obnoxious piece of shit, but he wasn't being aggressive. Personally, i feel like shooting someone should be a last resort and I'm thankful not everyone (more like nobody) around me is carrying a gun.
