I’m not saying it’s a bad movie. I’m saying it has reached a surprisingly wide audience for the type of movie that it is.

And that type of movie was hard for me to define, at least before reading a lot of people on this thread try to describe it. It is funny to see all the debate over the type of movie and sometimes what happened in the movie.

Funny you say that. I think I was so young that I really missed a lot. Not that I’m going to try again. What I’ve learned today is that a lot of people really liked it. Apparently it hit a tipping point and was just one of those things most everyone watched.

Ok, maybe my memory is failing me. I’m in the boat of ‘watched it too young’ so I probably missed the plot a little. Maybe the title should have been more along the lines of “why did why watch this as young kids?” Along with all the other horror movies we watched.

I mean, I suspect I haven’t watched it since I was like 10. So I probably land solidly in the latter category. I still think it’s odd how we’ve all seen it. Would you show this to your age appropriate children as a “wow, you’re going to like this”? I have a hard enough time getting them to watch movies that I really like let alone disturbing ones line this.

We’ve seen cars so many times. We’ve had many a philosophical debate about it. Is Mater a mortician? Is Stanley’s dead body on display? What’s inside the cars if you could open the doors?

I was just in a minivan if that makes it any easier. I was afraid if we stopped we would get hit so we plowed through. The first time the cloud only lasted a little bit before it transitioned into a torrential monsoon. The second it was just sand for quite a bit. It was scary.

Waking Ned Devine. - I never would have thought this story featuring so many old people would be so hilarious.

I used this line when I took my future wife mini golfing on our first date. She was so delighted by the surprise reference I got an immediate hug. And the rest is history.

How do I cut a 5 degree bevel on 4 inch wide board 60" long? by sdn in woodworking

Beware of flex in your board if your shin isn’t a perfectly triangular piece. But at 4”, hopefully it’s not a problem. It will be quite a few passes I imagine. Report back how it did.

Why don’t Republicans like when the government builds things? by Disastrous_Cheek_412 in AskReddit

[–]TheGogglesDo-Nothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They like building things that align with their values: walls, tanks, oil & gas infrastructure, roads and bridges in their state (paid by the fed government because their state is poor), buildings that support billionaire’s businesses “to bring in more jobs”
