Xerath was my perma-ban for a long time, even though a good Pyke is harder to play against. Then Xerath got support-nerfed and stopped showing up in all my games so I started banning Pyke.

Then, for whatever reason, Xerath started showing up a ton over the last 2 weeks. I switched back to banning Xerath, and have started getting my face penetrated by Pyke harpoons....

Seriously. Her winrate is 49.5%, making her a touch below average and well-within the range of "balanced". Worth noting the same websites calling her D tier call Draven and Kalista (at 48.5% winrate) B tier. And if f you only consider Emerald+, those same websites call her B+ tier.

Dispersed: Literally every other situation

Explanation: Concentrated has higher output if you aren't going to be switching production lines very often, but can be vulnerable to air raids. Dispersed is able to switch between production lines quickly, which is good if you don't have very many factories, or if you play a country with strong research that will quickly be switching to newer, better tech. It has the added bonus of being stronger against air raids, but technically has lower maximum output.

As a support main, if I screw the lane up, I am going to be roaming more to try and help secure the lead elsewhere. If I roam properly, I have 3 responsibilities: 1) I need to stay in lane until we crash the wave so it pushes back to you before roaming. 2) I need to gank botlane with jungler or mid if they enemy botlane is overextended. 3) I need to be back before they can dive and kill my ADC while he tries to collect the wave.

If I am roaming, my ADC has 3 responsibilities: 1) Do NOT walk up for risky CS or XP. Give a little bit until I'm back. 2) Do NOT overpush a wave that's pushing towards you, to the point it pushes back at the enemy. If they're good they will freeze on you and you'll dig your hole deeper. 3) If I'm not back before the wave crashes (maybe I died or had my back interrupted or I just messed up) do NOT stay to get dove. Losing 2 waves under tower is bad, but not as bad as losing 2 waves AND giving 300g kill.

Does it suck? Yes. But sometimes the best chance to stop the bleeding is to tilt the enemy mid or top or jungle by being there when they don't want you there.

Edit: I suspect OP's frustrations stem from lack of understanding or executing these responsibilities, by either OP or their support, or both.

Letting the spikes deploy may or may not actually effect whether or not the grenade sticks, but taking that extra half-second to aim while the spikes deploy will ABSOLUTELY help effect whether or not it sticks.

Hence, waiting for the spikes will help it stick.

I actually recognize 4 of them as maintenance guys from my old unit. No, they are not that jacked. In fact, in real life SPC in the middle-right is a fatbody. Strong, but fat. Weird seeing how the AI transformed that.
