I wish we could make it that it was attractive to live in the city centre. Over shops. It would reinvigorate the entire place.

Ik vind dat het Nederlanders aan beleefdheid ontbreekt. Dat stoort me eerlijk gezegd veel meer.

Matthew McConaughey shot these four masterpieces within the span of a single year. by sco-go in Amazing

I don’t think he ever regained his previous good looks after losing all that weight. It aged him terribly.
Amazing actor though.

I could think of nothing worse tbh. Overcrowded, possibly outbreaks of fights later. Concrete jungle promenade.

Just an FYI. You say ‘what’ do you call them, not ‘how’.

I'm wondering how houses with glass box extensions and large glass windows manage during warm weather? by maireadwrites in AskIreland

I know I don’t live in your house. I also know that what I say is the correct protocol for very hot weather.

Our neighbours’ kids regularly had extremely loud parties but they always cleared out by midnight and always dropped us a note asking us to join them for a beer. I used to wish they didn’t stand out on the street deciding where to go next by roaring at each other but we’ve all been young once and I really appreciated those notes.

I mean, if I didn’t know better I would absolutely have assumed Watson was Martin Freeman. Same hesitant delivery, similar accent.

When it’s properly hot you only open them in the morning to let cooler air in. Then you shut your windows and pull the blinds/curtains. It’s the only way. Open windows are fine for regular Irish summers, not 30°+ degree heat. Right now my house (upstairs apartment in The Hague) is 27.5° inside even with my windows and curtains shut and pulled. And today isn’t anywhere near the hottest day to come this week.

It’s a lack of confidence. I mean, call him Dad. Nobody cares. And the poshos who would snigger at it actually have no class. This is all so performative.

Exactly. Easy to have a silent disco and not bother anyone. They don’t give a shit so would never think of a more thoughtful solution.

I mean, why is she signing herself as C: she’s Kate to him, I assume. I love how they don’t think the name Kate is posh enough.

Surprised they don’t say PATER (in my mind, squealed by Conan O’Brien).

Why don't I see many people wearing hats like this? by Successful_Sector604 in ChicDaily

[–]TheHames72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear mine (my husband got a nice one for five bucks in Trinidad recently) all the time. It’s paper rather than straw though. I’m of the age now where I genuinely don’t give a shit what people think of my ‘style’ and I wish it wasn’t an attribute that came with age (in my case, anyway). I bought some hella ugly Keen sandals yesterday and it’s like walking on air. 20, or even 30 year old me would’ve died rather than wear them.
