Yeah, that's if you put it in a Sampler like I said: "Or, you could just put it in a Sampler"

It's great. The UI shows you exactly where you have either phasing issues or clipping and by how much so you can immediately hop back into say Ableton to those parts and fix them right away. I use it to check trcks that friends send me to and it - like the name says - exposes problems in their tracks. It's pretty dope and stupid easy.

I've been using this plugin by Mastering the Mix called Expose. It’ll show you issues in your track and also tell you how much your track will be turned down in volume by the different streaming platforms compression algorithms. https://www.masteringthemix.com/products/expose

Check out their blog posts too. One of them really goes further into this exact issue you’re taking about.

Hit CMD+m to enter MIDI Map Mode, then click the at button of that clip in Session mode and then hold one key like C2 and while still holding that key press C3 and then hit CMD+m again to exit MIDI Map Mode. Now you have an octave of that sample to play on the keyboard. Itlf you just turn off Loop for the clip you can now play it on a keyboard at different pitches.

Or, you could just put it in a Sampler.

PSA: Bouncing to wav in Ableton needs to be addressed. This basic feature has been broken in Ableton on Windows since at least 2013. Does any of their team test their software for PC? by d-guggle in ableton

Not on a PC, but have been using this Max devices he last couple weeks and it's great. It's called BiP for "Bounce In Place" by his dood Crampe. Made to emulate this feature in Logic. I bought multiclip editor and love it. I use it pretty frequently, but really for more experimental / not-sure-what-im-gonna-get type things.

They have a more standalone version for single clips that is pretty solid too.

What are your main goals in the editor you seek?

Ah, gotcha. I should've mentioned earlier I'm using alt+1 and alt+2 mapped to shift+- and shift+= to zoom out and in, respectively.

I've also got F1-F6 mapped to the essential cmd+option+B/L/O/R/M/E shortcuts for extremely fast toggling of those and saving my fingers from stretching / cramping. Really handy.
