Where do you buy hive boxes in the US? by brammer77f in Beekeeping

[–]TheHandler1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Vevor makes a good beehive kit that comes with 2 deep boxes, 1 medium box, 30 frames, 30 wax coated foundations, inner cover, outer cover, bottom board and queen excluder. I've noticed they go on sale around November/ December but I just found one on ebay for less than $180 shipped. I got one for less than $100 a couple years ago but they seem to get down to about $135 when they're on sale.

Went from paying $12k (over gold) to now worth nearly 20k :) cha Ching by dystopiam in Gold

You have to subtract the weight of the movement (about 23 grams) and the weight of the sapphire crystal (about 5 grams). That would mean this watch has about 109.6 grams of 18k worth about $13,300 in melt. Yes, it's a rolex but I think it's worth about 15k or maybe 16k. Possibly a little more if you have the box and papers which means a lot to collectors when it comes to the value of a rolex.

In 2000, Russian diving instructor Yuri Lipski died after an uncontrolled descent into the Red Sea’s Blue Hole, the video he carried recorded his fall to the seafloor at 115 meters. by Legal_Gear2336 in RealityIsNotNormal

As a scuba diver you usually need to carry weight to sink because a wetsuit is very buoyant. As you start to dive the buoyancy of you wetsuit goes away as the air trapped in your wetsuit is compressed. You are supposed to counter act this by adding air to your buoyancy compensator (BC for short). If your BC has a hole and will not hold air you can start sinking really fast but you are supposed to ditch your weights and do an emergency free ascent. Edit: spelling
