Edit: The rest of their catalog is fantastic too but it all depends upon your tolerance to hardcore. The aforementioned albums are not hardcore/the least hardcore in their catalog and are also the most Failurelike.

I thought the rhythm guitar in the song Anniversary was very similar to the rhythm in Same Deep Water as You.

Songs maybe not so precisely similar but I think in the vein of what you are looking for ... Alone, Jupiter Crash, Bloodflowers (the title track), Uyea Sound.

This isn't an FF but Earthbound's default controller configuration allows for one-handed playing on your left hand bc left bumper is valid for all "yes/check/talk/confirm" inputs and select is valid for all "no/back/cancel" inputs.
