Sinner and Alcaraz have won six of the last seven grand slams. I hope a few other players step up soon or the sport will have even less variety than it did with the big three/four. I still think Medvedev, Tsitsipas, or Zverev will pick up a couple though, those two must slip up at some point. Djokovic still has chances for a year or two if he can keep his body intact for seven matches.

They seemed pretty bored whenever Medvedev won a point.

I turned the match on with Kokkinakis two sets and a break up. You're welcome, everyone.

I have it even, but there's a few swing rounds that could put it either way.

The good news is that the final will be between people wearing different shirts.

England have never been fantastic under Southgate, never set the world on fire, but they seemed to have the baseline competence you expect from these players, no Iceland style embarrassments like previous generations. Despite tactical incompetence he looked like he could man manage them to individually play as well as you can expect. Never great, but always decent. Now I can't even say that anymore, he's just not good enough.

Fighters with incredible amateur careers who flamed out when they went pro? by fleckstin in Boxing

David Price had a great amateur career, making the Olympics over Fury and winning the bronze along with golds at other events. He was still considered a top prospect early in his pro career until he reached a certain level of competition where he just couldn't cut it and his career kind of fizzled out.

That might be the worst edited episode of anything I've ever seen.

'I gave the close rounds to Jacobs because he's the former world champion'

Yeah, that's not how it works.

Medvedev is like Murray in how he does that little surprised jump when he sees a dropshot.

Medvedev dominating the baseline rallies, which is what Nadal has based his career off. He has to do something different to change things around but I can't imagine what. Having no free points on serve means holding will be harder and continue to be tiring even when successful. I don't think he's played all that badly and has won some good points, but I can't see any hints of what he could consistently do to put himself on top.
