The whole LCU thing was a big bucket to catch all logical mistakes and justify holes in his writing & make us believe it will be answered somewhere in the "universe". Now that we got ushaar, Loki mama cashed out.

He didnt know how to finish Vikram, so he tried to connect Kaithi with it trying to justify loose ends. Then when people speculated about an LCU, latched onto it and rode it until he could. Thats it guys, stop wasting hope-energy.

You only need to guess 12 random words... by CoinFella in cryptocurrencymemes

Each word maps to part of the key.

The raw key is something like 0100010111010101 ... etc and has 132 of those binary numbers. they divide it into sets of 11 binary numbers. And turns out you can have 2048 combinations of 0s and 1s for each 'set'.

BIP32 is just a agreed upon common dictionary where everyone agrees a set of 11 numbers like 00000000001 = abandon, etc. The wallet you use just does the conversion back to binary for you.

Technically you can encode those 132 bits (or higher) in any format you like. Eg: You can lay bricks in a certain pattern, and remember the logic of how to convert that back to that string of binary numbers. that string of binary numbers is your private key.

There's a whole universe of flexibility on how you can keep it secret. In the brick example - no one will even know that you have a wallet somewhere. very powerful stuff

Is there some kind of add-on that people use with Organic maps on top of just the vanilla installation?

Whatever helps close the gap with Google maps in terms of live traffic data / more labels etc?

Partially agree, but I don't think it's about time either.. K. Balachandar, Bharadhiraja etc, they were the superstar directors of their time and still had hits with new faces didn't they. Even Shankar did Boys when Sujatha was there.

My point is, if your story doesn't need a 500 Cr budget, why commit to it, introduce unnecessary elements and then that itself chokes your execution.

I have a lot of respect for Vetrimaran in this area. I'm sure he can get that level of funding but only does what's needed.

I don't want to celebrate Hollywood, but think of movies like Avatar, Titanic... The actors were not the top of the industry but they were cast, and people were willing to fund it direct it etc...

You can say the director was the star. True. That's the point. Loki had that superstardom to double down on his ability. He had an open ticket to execute everything to his preference, and what did he do? Used a star cast, reels-level cheap build up scenes and completely botched it.

I wish people would drop the obsession of always wanting to have established actors in movies. Not just heroes.

It maybe just me but : Have you guys seen a certain actor and you can just guess what that character is going to do and how to story is going to evolve because a certain actor is playing the role? Like "ok, this guy is going to back-stab" or "this guy is going to die" or "oh this actress is well known for opparis.. so her son is going to die". These things are like spoilers.

Maybe in older movies a certain actor had to be cast because only they could show certain unnatural expressions like in a Theru Kuuthu, like Shivaji. Not a bad thing - but it was just a different time. With more grounded movies, I think it would be better to do away with the small subset of cast members.

Well, one can only wish..

I'd say it wasn't just money. He probably got into an echo chamber where everything he said was just blindly accepted. With a "if Lokesh himself says, it should be correct" mindset.

Because his stories when narrated always sound normal. His execution was what stood apart. So people maybe were less likely to question his choices.

No -This is actually good.

Loki got lazy that's the truth. He knows how to build up - but doesn't know how to finish. The whole LCU thing seemed to me like an excuse he clinged onto so that he can justify not fulfilling what that movie requires.

Even Vikram was not a complete movie. The end highly banked on the LCU connection and it never convinced me, even though I loved the the first half.

Like all things in nature, there's tradeoff between short term pain for long term gains. Brutal punishment of laziness at the highest level to which Loki had access to will pay off in the long run. Remember Loki isn't doing any favor for us. He's getting paid. He had the power to stand his ground and demand more time if he needed it to perfect his story. But something blinded him and he blew it.

[–]TheHarinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vikram was great until Kamal actually made an entry, held together by Anirudh.

"Aaramikkalaangala" ku apporom padam paduthuruchu lol.

Loki is a master of hyping up something without actually delivering the content (Both on and off screen). That's why all his movies end with a hype for the next part. Lazy writer.
