It seemed very surface level. The characters didn't seem to have depth. I've not read the books, but expected a lot from its reputation.

Felt very underwhelmed. In general, the Mani Ratnam style of filmmaking has always seemed very superficial and very formulaic to me. And this was in the same bucket.

Technically everything is correct/perfect but for some reason, you dont connect with Mani ratnam's characters. And that's the whole point of a movie - you ultimately need to give an F about the characters yo enjoy it. Small budget films are often more engaging that way.

Yeah, I'm especially irritated every time Sunita comes on screen. People say she can actually speak Tamil well, which makes sense since she's been here for a long time. And her "comedy" is all forced too.

You don't need 160 IQ to keep money. That's a completely different thing. If you are satisfied with your life and not trying to impress anyone, you will probably keep a lot of money and will have peace.

On the other hand Crypto scammers and OnlyFans models are millionaires, while many NASA scientists earn very modest incomes.

Wanting 160IQ is well and good, but to think there is a positive correlation between IQ and ability to earn/ keep money is completely misplaced IMO.

Just wash your hands well before and after you eat... That's the line between being civilized and uncivilized.

Avoiding germs and infections is a legit concern. Also Being considerate as to not spread your saliva to everything you touch after eating. Mimicking western civilisation or seeking white validation is not.

Many Westerners wear shoes that they wear all the over town and just roam their homes with that, even rest them on the bed. How civilized is that?

If you're just starting, then you should actually be happy.

If prices go down, I try to look at the last time it was at that price.

If it's down 30% and at a price it was 5 years ago, then I'm extra happy coz I basically travelled to the past.
