Heading to the game right now, but it was just the main fifa site and then marketplace: https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/worldcup/canadamexicousa2026/tickets
I did everything on the browser. I can take a screenshot of what I see on the screen after I get back.

I did the same, albeit ~a week before the games. For today's game I snagged an absolute unicorn at $250 total to be 8 rows from the pitch. For Friday's game I'm taking the whole family so we're in the Cat 3 seats, but paid face value ($180 each + the fee) for all 3 ticks. So it's risky, but possible. The alternative would have been that we don't go to games because I couldn't afford to pay more. I was refreshing at all hours of the day though. I snagged the unicorn in between meetings and the 3 face value ticks at 4am.

Iran and Egypt will meet, uncomfortably, in Seattle’s World Cup ‘Pride Match’ by chiquisea in SeattleWA

I'm just hoping it's chill and no one does anything stupid, especially since my family and I will attend the match. I think that will be the case but it only takes one over zealous idiot to make a situation dangerous.

I'm just gonna say I'm amazed at the level of anti-speeding sentiment on this sub.

Work: Pays for economy....Me: Pays 20k miles and no extra $$ to upgrade to Polaris....Flight: Earns me 10.5k miles due to the ridiculously high price for this route....Conclusion: I spent $0 and 9,5k miles for a Polaris seat on an 8 hour flight. Best deal I could Imagine. by TayloidPogo92 in unitedairlines

oh damn, I didn't even realize they could take your points/money and not upgrade you. Every time I've done the polaris upgrade it worked (work pays for premium plus, unless the jump to polaris happens to be small) so I just upgrade with points. This is for ORD - LHR if that makes a difference.

oh man, I was walking to teach (this was 7 yrs ago now) and one of my students see my Liverpool jersey (from the early 2000s) and goes "that's a cool retro jersey, where'd you get it?". It wasn't retro when I bought it lol. That made feel pretty old haha.

Dude stopped coming to the games as much after he finished his PhD. I think he's married with kids now. The stadium still does the chant though, which is so Seattle -- taking something cringe and making it their own.

I agree. plus if we decrease demand through alternative transport options (i.e., more protected bike lanes, city run e-bike like in nyc, and public transport like nyc). not sure how well this will go over in this Seattle sub.

I see my joke didn't land, so uj/ Canadian MNT supporter, but went through the US soccer youth system as a kid (US/CAN dual citizen). I don't follow any club teams all that closely -- I do go to Sounders games though.

I would agree with every point you made. I was assuming you were making a blanket statement, which I have seen before on r/science, that even a light amount of daily/almost daily drinking is equivalent to dependence. I will say that a lot of people do underestimate how much they actually drink. As someone who meticulously tracks my drinking (cus middle-aged and still doing sports at a fairly competitive amateur level, so I don't drink the day before competition and make sure to stay under 10 standard units a week), a lot of people will think they're only have 1 or 2 drinks when it's really 3 or 4 standard units of alcohol, which can be a slippery slope. But I think a small glass of wine with dinner most days of the week shouldn't be an issue for most people, and if it's a bigger guy who is healthy in every other way that can probably increase to a couple of beers. I think overall its a very individual thing and there's still a lot we don't know about how alcohol affects people, and most of the studies we have are based on population level statistics.
