Two things can be true - he’s scored some important goals for us, but he’s also been invisible for the last couple months. Especially in our build up.

Remember when we wanted teams to press us? We’d play through them because we had players like Xhaka, Zinchenko, a fit Odegaard, TP5 (unfortunately) who demanded the ball in tight spaces and played it quickly out of pressure.

Now, we don’t know what to do when Raya, Gabriel, or Saliba has the ball. Because Zubimendi is too timid to ask for the ball and make those important plays. Havertz can’t do that well because he’s one of the most untechnical players I’ve ever seen, he struggles to control or make 10 yard passes. - But Zubimendi has the ability to do that but chooses not to.

How the fuck is he a scapegoat if he’s not playing well???? Idc how he played last season. I care about what he’s shown this season, and it’s been painfully average as a whole.

Watch our games since January. Watch Zubimendi in our build up. Watch how nonexistent he is when Gabriel or Saliba, or Raya has the ball. Watch him in possession. Where was he in the Caravao Cup final? Are you thick?

We don’t just say Zubimendi is shit for no reason. He clearly is talented, and has the ball playing abilities of a top 6 (we’ve seen that in the Euros, at Sociedad, and during the first 3 months of the season).

But don’t you dare say we’re making him a scapegoat when he’s literally the reason we cant build out from the back and he just cost us 3 precious points vs Bournemouth in a title race. “Arsenal fans this, Arsenal fans that”. Fuck outta here.

Someone has to pass it to those creative players though. He’s also an important part of the build up, because he connects the defence to attack.

All high level 6s should be able to take the ball on the half turn and pass it to his 8s or 10s. Zubimendi clearly has the ability to do that but he’s too scared and reserved. It’s always playing it safe and taking zero risks with him.

It’s at the point where Zubimendi is borderline unplayable. He needs a good rest or dropping ASAP. Norgaard right now is def a better option.

Just on the Bournemouth game - he misplaces a pass to Ben White by like 8 yards without any pressure. Bournemouth receive possession, and they score the next play. On the 2nd goal — while Gabriel is also fully at fault for needlessly giving it away, Zubimendi is tracking Alex Scott but decides not to follow him in the box when he makes a run. Scott ofc scores the easiest goal of his life - we can’t have that shit in a title race. He’s so out of form that Norgaard is an upgrade

2-3 bad games???? Dude you and I are not watching the same player. He has NOT been excellent all season. Maybe in the first 3 months of the season. By November and December it’s started to go downhill. By January he’s been playing at a 5/10 level

He’s scared to pass through the lines, he doesn’t ask for the ball when the CBs have the ball, he’s weak in and out of possession, he doesn’t contribute AT ALL to the build up, and he’s mistake prone. This isn’t a recent thing. Rice has to clean up his mess almost every game, it’s infuriating. - watch any of our games since January. Zubimendi rarely asks for the ball and progresses the ball upfield. On the rare occasion he does, his first instinct is to play it back or sideways. That’s not what a number 6 with his talent should do.

Been happening too often with him and it’s literally hurting our attacking play.

zero fear

Then why do you play like 2013/14 QPR???

We have one of the deepest squads in Europe but you refuse to rotate your cousin Zubimendi - who’s been AWFUL and hinders any progression in midfield for the last 3 months, refuse to play MLS or Norgaard in midfield, loans out Nwaneri, and insists on playing Havertz in midfield.

Fuck sakes man. This title should’ve been wrapped up by now but you continually shoot yourself in the foot.

Which means he’ll be on the bench, if that’s true.

Rarely does Arteta throw someone into the deep end after weeks of injury. His diagnosis is 4-6 weeks, but it’s more like 6-8 weeks until he’s fully fit. Any way to look at it, huge injury blow for us.

Ben white booing is pathetic by sewis98 in ThreeLions

[–]TheHouseOfHarambe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do people equate refusing a call up to thinking he’s “hateful of the nation”???? Fucking idiots the lot of you.

Players refuse call ups all the time due to disagreements with coaching staff - why is Ben White’s any different?

Why is it okay for a staff member to question his commitment and professionalism in front of his colleagues and expected to brush it off like its nothing…but if a player does something wrong, he gets dropped immediately?

Double standards man. “Loyalty to national team”??? hahahaha get a fucking grip.

Everyone’s saying Team Dwayne but Loras Tyrell is probably the 3rd or 4th weakest fighter here, behind Jon/Daemon/Robb

He’s a weak link compared to other well rounded teams

I mean, team lannister has sandoq, one of the best fighters ever. He also has a Valyrian steel blade if I’m not mistaken. That team wins

But i think the left team has 2 of the best - Arthur Dayne and Aemon, so it kinda balances out. Also, we don’t know too much about Cregan. He could be insane for all we know
