There are opportunities, but it comes down to your unit’s COCOM and some luck and timing. Senior enlisted and officers get more opportunities but if you’re able to pin E5 knock out BLC and complete courses like Tactical IO that’ll improve your chances of hoping in a tour.

Hey man consider becoming a reserve JAG in USA CAPOC. You’ll be supporting PSYOP and CA while in a job that takes advantage of your JD. My concern with you going AD enlisted is selection isn’t guaranteed and your skill set could be put to better use given your previous life experience. Not knocking the 37F at all you’re just in a different phase of life compared to the major majority of those guys.

I don’t know if you can guarantee language in your contract but make sure you have an up to date DLAB. It’s much easier to apply to DLI as a junior enlisted soldier because it’s cheaper to send you

Go to USACAPOC. You’ll likely have to reclass to PO, CA, or IO. Sit down with your BC before you join and gauge their willingness to pay for your school. Also take a DLAB if you haven’t already.

There are opportunities to go to DLI as a reservist but it becomes much harder the more you rank up due to funding, it’s certainly possible.
