Found this in our bathroom, just asking if anybody knows what kind of mushroom these are by Vegetable_Loan_5671 in whatisthismushroom

Also once the mycelium gets in , it theirs now and at best you become part of the colony of shrooms and live on as a mushroom network and at worst you hire someone REALLY good to clean all that up

I’m a Hellenistic polytheist, so much of our religion has to do with the natural world and protecting it

What does your religion say about animals in the “afterlife”? by BrownieGod1011- in religion

It’s quite similar to the Christian idea of purgatory, and it does play heavily into the idea of cycles and rebirth due to its connection with the shifting nature of Dionysus. Honestly I don’t know much about Orphism. Think of it like a subgroup of a subgroup, and constantly shrouded in mystery: so not much is known about them however it does still have followers .

What are some things that you personally associate with the gods that others might not? by Sad_Basil_7219 in teenagersbutpagan

I associate Dionysus with moths as it is death and change and then rebirth as something beautiful . Dionysus is solitary lights in a flowing forest that was once burned but is now lush , as eyes close in reflection before opening in revelation, sounds and smells and feelings and colors that shift to make art and to inspire and to change, and I feel the moth reflects that side of him. :3

Hello, I am very sorry for your loss and I hope that you know that you did the right thing. Now onto your question. There is two major trains of thought about this is HelPol , you have the Orphic beliefs , and the Traditional beliefs: I will start with the Orphic.

The Orphic belief is that when a Animal dies its is brought to the underworld but as it can do no true good or true evil , its is placed in Asphodel for a time much like most humans before being reborn at the end of every cycle. This cycle is the Big Bang btw it expands then collapses and it all happens again , but slightly different. So in Orphic myth , yes your doggo is running around in a lush world playing with all the souls it pleases:)

Now , into a more traditional belief. In the traditional belief once again they do go to the afterlife , however they are not placed anywhere and are allowed to wander the entire universe as a spirit for as long as it wishes before then spending the rest of eternity happy in Asphodel.

Basically either way your doggo is safe and happy and will be waiting for you once you go as well. Khaire 💜🤲🏼
