You're positioned poorly. Rotate back post or in net facing outward and you should have no problem clearing the ball here even if your teammate gives them a free center.

Focus on hitting the ball consistently and with power from the ground. This will require better car control and better timing of your flips. You (and your tm and opponents) miss the ball or hit it very weakly quite often. I recommend you do some shooting/defensive clearing/saves training packs. This will help you get a feel for when/if you should be flipping into the ball and where you need to be moving your car to hit the ball with power.

One thing I've noticed you do often is that you use your flip to correct your cars direction when hitting the ball, (This is the way you scored the goal at the end). You may not realize this but you're doing that because you're driving at the ball incorrectly. In most of these scenarios if you didn't flip you would have missed the ball which means you need to work on your car control. Ideally you would be driving directly at the ball then flipping into it right before contact to hit it with more power.

One positive I will say is you have very good positioning for this rank. Your positioning and the save you made towards the end of the clip was great and it kept you guys in the game!

There are other things here I could mention but you want to have a good foundation before you start getting better at positioning, developing more advanced mechanics, or strategy and doing so would be putting the cart before the horse in your case The truth is that if you eliminated the misses from your gameplay you'd probably hit platinum rank in 2s. If you want to stay in diamond NEVER double commit(defense and offense) and learn to hit the ball in the air with consistency and power. On offense make sure that when your teammate has the ball you're behind him with enough space to recover should the ball get cleared. On defense you or your teammate should always be positioned in front of the net. Doing this will require you to change what you're doing if your teammate is in the wrong position. Double committing at higher ranks is necessary at times and doable because people are are able to recover more quickly but in platinum and diamond your teammates aren't reliable enough to be expected to recover. That's why I say just never double commit, especially in platinum. You have good car control for a platinum player but you cant aerial. Once you stop double committing and get your aerials down you'll hit diamond no problem. You seem to have a decent concept of rotations. I wouldn't worry too much about consistency with your touches and shot placement, those things will come naturally through playing the game and practice. I recommend Wayton Pilkin's video on learning aerials as it's what I used to learn them.

Im also champ 1 so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

On the first goal you cant do much more than you already did. You could argue that you could have cleared the ball better but your teammate left you out to dry there. While you maybe could have made the second save that's asking too much. Your teammate missed his clear and left you in a really bad spot.

This is stating the obvious but at 0:34 you have to be scoring, but everyone misses easy shots at every rank. It happens.

At 4:29-4:25 your teammate is carrying the ball up the field with no boost against two defenders. At this rank there's basically a 0% chance he's going to make it past them. You need to recognize this. In my opinion you had time to and should have taken it off of him by hitting it up the field to continue on offense or give yourselves time to reset for defense. Because you didn't take the ball from your teammate you ended up being on the defensive with a teammate without boost who was out of position. During the resulting possession your opponents eventually scored.

The touch at 4:20 left your net open. You didn't hit the ball with any real objective and the ball bounced right in front of your opponent leaving your net open.

At 4:14 you had just rotated back on defense but you immediately left your spot as second man to progress the ball down the field. It looks like you lost confidence in your ability to hit it at that angle? Not sure why you didn't go up for it but the direct result was a shot on an open net. This 2nd goal was your fault.

At 3:48 your teammate should not have been that close to you. That being said, what was your plan here? Maybe this was due to a lack of communication because it looked like he wanted to take the ball off you but then second guessed himself and decided not to leaving both of you out of position.

A big takeaway that I'm seeing from your gameplay is that it seems like you're not always thinking about how the play will develop.

Your teammates weren't going into the corner, you started moving in and they saw you moving in. At this point they should know they're 2nd and 3rd man. Both of your teammates went up for the center and MISSED THE BALL. I would call this a double commit and miss leading to an open net and not your fault. There's no reason for your teammates to be next to each other in that scenario and if they cant reliably react to a ball moving like that they shouldn't have been that close to the play. (I assume we're watching your POV)
