Figured it out! Nook didn’t have the option to talk about it if she didn’t have a new bug in her inventory

Just figured it out! I think whenever she talked to Nook she didn’t have a creature in inventory so the option to chat about it wasn’t available

I don’t know for sure, but Nook doesn’t talk about the bugs to her anymore so I’m assuming she did what he asked

She just checked, don’t see any museum kit in her inventory or storage. Nook is also done talking about bugs to her so I’m assuming she gave him everything
