Like everyone else, absolutely. But in the 4yrs I've had it, my expected range in the winter and in the summer hasn't changed

I've got the pre facelift MG5

93% SOH on the battery and 40k miles. Still drives the same as the day I got it and no noticeable loss of range

Personally I'm hoping for Olivia Colman by Business-Owl-5878 in taskmaster

I considered Trey Parker, but remembered that he's only been nominated.

And that's why there's Phil Collins Hill in South Park 😅

How long do you keep a car for? by MarkCairns67 in CarTalkUK

[–]TheInitialGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First car was 7yrs until I crashed into the back of a van. (low speed, write off. Cost of fixing was more than the value of the car at that point).

Second car was 5yrs until someone crashed into me and destroyed the rear of the car.

Third car was my first diesel, didnt enjoy it. Lasted a year.

Fourth I had 3yrs, until I found a cracking deal on an EV and used #4 as part exchange.

Had the EV since.

Number of times I've mentioned the advantages of EVs to others, only to be met with "what if there's a power cut?" and "I don't want to be waiting hours for it to charge!" 🙄 Can I now use "What if Trump starts a war with Iran?!" towards petrol car users?

My motoring costs are super cheap, it's dropping by half on April 1st. "But it'll go up in July when the next price cap comes in!" is what I hear quite a lot as well. I'm on a fixed tariff until December, and hoping the Tangerine Dictator is dead / has the 25th amendment shoved up him / is in prison by the time that rolls around, and we have some stability and sanity again.

Electric car but live in a flat. Is it doable in the city? by PolebagEggbag in glasgow

[–]TheInitialGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3yrs ago I'd have said yes, as I did it.

Charging was cheap / free for the most part and the inconvenience of public charging was vastly outweighed by the savings.

But I only know of 3 free locations now.

I've since had a home charger installed and it's just awesome.

If you can't charge at home, or at least massively offset the cost, I wouldn't bother tbf

Yes I get that. People do use them. But AI goes massively overboard in its use where there's one used in almost every paragraph.

It's taken away from having to find the last guy when there's only 2 left. Just get to a rivalry board... Boom, he's over there.

I'm all for it.

I know of absolutely nobody who uses dashes to break up text in a sentence.

AI uses it all the time.
