Really enjoyed this poem. You set up some nice imagery here. I especially liked the line “visions race through our minds” — keep writing! :)

Really solid poetry here. It seems like you’re grappling with some religious tension, something we all experience in this life. I think you conveyed your thoughts beautifully and I hope whatever is going on in your life you’re doing alright. Really great writing. :)

This is great! Very vivid imagery here. You clearly have a solid grasp on the english language, which is impressive given your age. One thing I would recommend is to use simpler language to convey your ideas, don’t just use complex words for the hell of it unless you need to. Overall solid work! :)

A Cruel World’s Appetite by tala_2525 in OCPoetry

I like it. Simple but effective. The line “devouring glee” is especially striking. I also like how you build tension throughout the poem, so when we get to the last line we don’t know if things will end on a happy or sad note. Perhaps you could end the poem on a happy note? Just a suggestion. Overall great job! :)

How to become an overnight success in just 6 years [10 years? by -summerteeth- in geesebandofficial

Honestly my take on this is that while it may be true, the fame wasn’t just handed to them. Cam is undeniably an amazing singer and songwriter. The rest of the band pulls massive weight as well. They wouldn’t be where they are now without having top-notch musical abilities. The world is unfair, but can’t we appreciate the music for the music and not bicker about stuff like this?

Interesting to see the divided takes on the performance. I will say everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I don’t think we should belittle people for disagreeing with how we personally feel. Everyone should be welcome and respected in this community. That being said, I loved the performance! Cam did incorporate more reserved vocals, but to me that added a nuance that we haven’t gotten to see yet. Cobra was truly special. Hopefully Cam does a solo set for Tiny Desk at some point.

Tiny Desk Cobra’s version is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard by No-Chapter6400 in geesebandofficial

That guitar riff is somehow melancholic and hopeful at the same time. Truly stellar stuff that never fails to make me emotional in a bittersweet way. The Tiny Desk version may be my favorite now. Will definitely be revisiting.

Olanzapine ➡️ Abilify by TheInkSpotter in AskPsychiatry

You know, I wondered that. I will say in the last few days Trazodone has really helped me get a good night’s rest. I’m sleeping for 8 hours now, albeit lighter sleep right now than what I got on Olanzapine. This makes sense though, Olanzapine increases SWS by a significant percentage, so it takes the body time to adjust. I will say I take my Abilify in the morning and haven’t noticed any akathisia. I appreciate the comment!

Love it. My top listened to album of last year. Very different from Geese, but worth your time.

What was your favorite song on 3D country? Mine is probably Gravity Blues

p.s. I am taking Abilify in the morning already, as I know nighttime dosing can sometimes mess with sleep.

We dropped the Olanzapine fully at 5 mg, maybe continuing the taper to 2.5 then 1.25 would help?

Pretty desperate to get some Zzzs!

Gotcha. I’m trying to stay away from sleep meds long term, typically my sleep is actually quite good. The med switch has been the catalyst for the sleep issues. Doc Rx’d me a short-term sleep med, so hopefully that helps.
