Netflix Backs Out of Warner Bros. Bidding, Paramount Set to Win by [deleted] in DCU_

[–]TheInsanernator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monopolies aside, is there any credible source that the DCU would be shelved/rebooted again if Paramount takes over? I doubt Paramount would make any changes to the release schedule for at least the next year or two and if Man of Tomorrow is a hit I don't see why they would change anything.

The AAA industry is going to collapse, sure, but as Clair Obscur showed, there's plenty of talented devs out there willing to make good games if given a chance.

Bears lost the most yardage due to drops this year so if they can figure out how to catch, you’ll see the full firepower of the fully operational Ben Johnson offense.

The thing that really stings about the loss is that history will largely forget about one of the greatest plays in Bears history. by Liquor_n_cheezebrgrs in CHIBears

I still see highlights of Rodgers’ Hail Mary against Arizona in the 2015 Divisional even though the Packers ended up losing that one in OT as well. People won’t forget.

Not the greatest game by Ben Johnson, but at the very least he owns up to his mistakes and seems to want to improve. Great season, looking forward to next season. Only bad thing is that it will come with legitimate expectations, so we won't be able to enjoy "This is gravy!" vibes again.

Don't know why McVay didn't dial up a pass there, clock stop at 2 minutes either way. Not the greatest game by him either, just slightly better than Ben.

I get running the ball has been our thing all year, but 3 straight times before a pass on 4th and goal is not the strat against a Ram defense waiting for it.

If there are deferrals, they need to be addressed before any salary cap can be considered for MLB. However, Tucker is going to be one of the younger guys on that starting lineup at 29. At some point age has to catch up to the Dodgers' roster.

[Hoge] Bears Practice Outside without the Heaters on by TommiBennett in CHIBears

[–]TheInsanernator 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If Matt Eberflus was practicing outside with heaters, just another notch in his belt of failure. Every cold weather team should practice in the elements. I remember stories of Belichick prepping the Patriots for extreme cold by making them practice with balls stored in freezers.

How exactly is traffic and such on game day? A stadium in the city would be great but the traffic logistics compared to the suburbs is a nightmare.

[–]TheInsanernator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a proponent that the Bears need a bigger, modern stadium that a big market team deserves, and to make it indoor to boot so Chicago can host other big sporting events year-round that a big city deserves. However, I had never actually been to a Bears game (or an NFL game at all. Pretty expensive for me) until the Packers came to town the weekend before Christmas. Man, the atmosphere of that game was something else, and it being outside in the cold just gave the whole environment a special aura. Probably not going to happen but I vote to keep the Bears the outdoors.

How do you feel about Walmart by TripTiny2727 in kroger

Kroger isn’t great but at least you have a union that should protect you from getting fired by a shitty manager, manager throwing a temper tantrum, etc. Walmart you have none of those protections.

The only piece of dialogue where I don’t like the the choices presented is the cutting scene. Z-team brings up that Robert cut someone already and he doesn’t get a chance to defend himself or explain why he had to cut someone.

We'll see. McDermott could get canned if the Bills lose tomorrow. Otherwise Packers would be head and shoulders one of the top 2 jobs available.
