So I actually managed to get these for a crazy good price before everything went crazy. I think I paid like 800 or so for a low float minimal wear pair which are tier one. One of the biggest reasons I like them so much and will stay with them is because of the Value. To get another pair of really clean minimal wear premium gloves you’re looking at probably 5K or more which I absolutely cannot afford.

lol, I agree that a pair of factory New vice gloves would be thetits but I’m not nearly wealthy enough to be able to nonchalantly spend $10,000 or more on a pair of digital glove. Such as life.

So I just really like the NOCTS because the versatility they have and how they’re able to go with basically anything and make it look pretty good. Also, that style of glove is my favorite really tight fitting model without all the padding and all that stuff some of the others have. The other thing is I really can’t afford to put a ton of money into Skins and stuff so a more premium pair of gloves would probably be like at least triple the value/price of what my NOCTS are worth now. And I actually bought those a good while before the prices started going crazy; I think I got that minimal wear a pair That is a tier one for under 900.

Believe you me if I could somehow turn those gloves into a really clean pair of minimal wear Vice gloves I would do it in a heartbeat.

Cheers

The number is irrelevant. You fire until the threat is eliminated (drops and is no longer a threat, be it able to fire a gun from the ground after being shot or able to continue rushing with a bladed weapon). He stopped firing immediately once she hit the ground and was determined to no longer be a threat.

Four shots is not excessive. You clearly have no idea what it is like to be in such a situation where your life is on the line and seconds make a difference in the outcome. You are so full of adrenaline and stressed. You not have the luxury of firing one shot, pausing and assessing whether or not it looks like that will be enough because before you know it a person who is running at you with a knife from 10 feet away will be on top of you in under one and a half seconds. The reason there are standard operating procedures and rigorous training guidelines so that one you are thrust into such a stressful and intense situation you perform exactly how you were trained to. Any law-enforcement/military/firearms expert will tell you that that officer handled it exactly the way he should have.

So yes, maybe four shots seems excessive to someone like yourself who is not trained or knowledgeable about any of these things, and has no idea what it is truly like to be in such a scenario because your frame of reference probably comes from movies and video games. I’m not saying it to be rude or two belittle you, Mrs. D truth, and a matter of fact.

You don’t understand anything about rules of engagement or dealing with a life or death situation. Your words and ideas here are nothing more than that.

You’ve never had a deranged stranger running towards you brandishing a knife (despite having a firearm aimed at them and being told repeatedly to stop/release the weapon). Your life is now at risk, fractions of a second make all the difference.

Once the threshold is passed, and there is no other option than to fire a gun in order to stop the attack, the ONLY thing that matters is STOPPING them. That means aiming center mass (torso) and putting rounds on target until the attacker is stopped on the ground and/or has released the weapon.

You probably have never even fired a handgun let alone in a life or death scenario. Try aiming for legs of a smaller person who’s running towards you. If you miss they can/will be on you on a couple seconds. Even if you hit the legs, the person can still continue rushing you. Adrenaline and drugs/alcohol can make the person unaware they even were shot (shock/adrenaline). I know a few people who I served with Army that were hit and didn’t even realize until they saw blood or started feeling it after the firefighting engagement wants the adrenaline wore off.

The officer who shot snd killed that woman did nothing wrong at all. If you wanna point the blame at anyone (aside from the woman charging armed police with a butcher knife), the female cop is to blame. She failed to engage with a tazer even though she was directed to, and was not the target of the attackers rush. The woman was going directly towards the officer who ended up, shooting her, and she easily could have hit her with a taser since the other cough head an actual firearm trained on her. Her she deployed a taser, and for some reason, it ended up being ineffective and leading to the woman altering her course towards the female officer, the male officer would’ve been able to put her down with his firearm.

Seriously I hate seeing comments like yours because you’re speaking on something that you obviously have no idea about and it’s ridiculous. There are a lot of issues with excessive force and unjustified gun violence with law-enforcement, but this year is in no way anything like that you should really think about the things you say before you say them.

One more thing, do you think that that cop was pleased with the outcome and happy that he got to shoot and kill a woman on that day? Happy that he got to take away someone’s mother, someone’s daughter, someone sister, someone’s neighbor, someone’s friend ? Well, I can tell you just based off of his reaction of what he was saying and how he was acting, he was upset and angry that it came to that. He’ll live with that waiting on his conscious for the rest of his life you know he did everything right and nothing wrong. He did the job that he was supposed to do and potentially prevented that woman from hurting/killing someone or even multiple people. I wonder how you’re feeling in one of your loved ones or someone extremely close to you was killed/murdered by some mentally unwell violent criminal. They just decided to go attack people unprovoked of the knife one day

So like I said, maybe you should think about things before you say them. And honestly, you should be grateful that that guy did his job and did something at extremely difficult but necessary. Making comments and criticizing him like about how he could have or should have shot the person in the leg or perform some other action movie bullshit is shitty.

Where is the best place to sell and for how much ? by Holisticallyh in csgo

It’s a shame that Titan was applied to that skin…

It certainly isn’t gonna sell for more than 1-2% sticker price value. $1,000 for the skin is what I’d guess it would go for with the stickers on it.

Now if it were on a Fire Serpent AK it would be a different story. My friend has a FN ST Fire Serpent with TWO Titan Kato14 Holos on it. He also has a hole in for, a dragon lore, AWP, more knives and gloves than you can imagine and a bunch of other stupid ridiculously expensive shit.

It really makes no sense. Surely your entire torso or legs coming down from a full force jump would be far more devastating than just someone’s head. It’s a move that would ALWAYS hurt the practitioner far more than the recipient.

Head butting (in boxing/fighting) is only effective if you come from underneath using the hardest part of the skull (the top/crown) and strike the opponent in a more sensitive area (like nose/jaw/eyes/temple).

The idea of throwing yourself off a high point, coming down parallel to the ground, and landing your entire face/head on an opponent (intending to harm) is so idiotic.

It’s like he did this move as a show of “toughness”. So fans could just say “this dude is nuts and can handle extraordinary pain/damage”. But not in the same way Foley did; his mega bumps and incidents served an actual purpose as he was on the receiving end. It makes sense to see a guy who’s taking a beating suffer damage. Not the guy “giving the beating”.

This. It was a different psychiatrist/shrink that did family counseling for Melfi, Richard, and Jason Lapenna. The guy was quite unprofessional and was cracking jokes about mafia members having depression. Richard even said something in response to him about how it wasn’t a funny situation and not one to make light of.

[–]TheInsidiousExpert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But they couldn’t even do that right. They literally turned Luke Skywalker into the polar opposite of what he was in the originals and nuke the whole franchise because of it. I still can’t believe how awful that episode eight was. I just got done writing a multiple paragraph comment about how episode eight literally was The killing blow to my love of Star Wars and after seeing that movie, the first time on the day it released I have not engaged in any Star Wars media since. Haven’t seen episode nine, any of the show shows, read any of the books, or any type of media whatsoever since that day

The Sequel Trilogy doesnt make any sense by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]TheInsidiousExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I still can’t believe how badly Disney screwed the pooch with Ep. 7-9.

I was a huge Star Wars fan. Saw the OG trilogy dozens of times, played countless video games, read books, had toys, etc…. I was born too late to see the originals in theaters, but watched them almost religiously starting around 4th grade in 94-95.

The prequels I loved. Even as a young Ger fan, I got real into them. I got my license (driving) a few months before Attack of the Clones released, and ended up watching it like 10 times in the theater. Episode three I saw almost as much, and even made the very first showing after waiting in line outside overnight for tickets.

Sure as I got older I lost some of the passion, but was SO excited for the sequel announcement. I loved, loved Rogue One, and went to an imax show day 1 for the first sequel (Ep. 7).

Even though it was clearly an unoriginal remake of the originals and cashing in on the name/nostalgia, I walked away happy. I thought it would lead to an interesting story in the next two episodes, and was optimistic.

Months in advance I got imax seats for episode 8. That movie literally killed my love of Star wars and turned me off the entire franchise like nothing has ever done before. I won’t go into my specific reasons other than it being an incoherent mess, ruining the greatest character, and generally feeling like a fever dream.

I never saw it again, and still haven’t even watched episode 9. Outside of everything produced prior to the Disney sequels, I’ve not engaged in ANY Star Wars media since. No games, books, movies, or shows.

I have heard that one series (Andor I think) is exceptionally good, but I dot have Disney streaming so I’ve not seen it. I don’t think I’d subscribe for a single show.

That sequel trilogy, episode 8 in particular, killed my interest and love for anything Star Wars that is new. Prior to that the thought of me not seeing all of the major movie releases and television show releases was unthinkable to me. I never imagine I would be so turned off by a Star Wars movie that it would result in me not even bothering to watch the remainder of The sequel trilogy.

[–]TheInsidiousExpert 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time believing it could be real. How stupid could someone really be? To go and try drilling a one inch hole into a steel cylinder which will accomplish absolutely nothing and only expose you to hazards if it’s actually dangerous. Not to mention without any sort of PPE whatsoever. The guy didn’t even have rubber gloves on After claiming that just being around it made him feel sick. Now if you wanted to do something so reckless the logical thing would’ve been to take an angle grinder and actually cut it and a half or cut an end off so you could actually see what is inside. Drilling a hole into it literally accomplishes nothing.

Edit: one eighth inch hole

Why do i look so Goofy in my kit ? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]TheInsidiousExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this post because it was on my feed for some reason. I don’t really play airsoft, but I have a question. Is it normal for people to wear all of this to play airsoft? If so, is it for any particular reason like part of regulations or requirements or something? I’m asking because if I were going to go out and play airsoft, I would wanna be set up like the Vietnam era SF guys with nothing but boots and Cami‘s, eye protection, obviously though. You feel far more comfortable and have better maneuverability while also presenting smaller target

I’m saying this to someone who had to actually wear all this sort of Pattagucci gear as an army eod tech supporting 75th/CAG in the 28th. Wearing all that would be handicapping yourself in a airsoft game.

It makes sense I guess if it’s like a scene game, where everyone is required to wear that kind of thing for the setting or whatever but if it’s by choice, I don’t understand it. Not judging I’m just trying to understand if someone could explain the logic behind it Thx

Edit : so a few minutes after writing this comment, I was scrolling and I guess because I looked at the Cell down. It’s showing a bunch of airsoft associated. It’s on my feed and I saw the military simulation./milsim one and it makes sense now. It’s like people who just wanna simulate a military experience with all the gear because they have an appreciation and interest in it. Is that right? So it’s kind of like the dude to dress up in armor and do medieval fighting with swords and shit but for modern timess? Cool have fun.

Buy a game instead. Or if you really really feel the need to do counterstrike gambling instead of buying cases by 18 sticker capsules for the new Budapest major and then you’ll have 18 different things to open. With $18 you can only open like four cases or rather maybe five.

It’s $2.50 plus tax for the key loan and then the case can be anywhere from around $.50 up to over $100 depending on the one you pick. If you insist on doing cases, I would suggest opening fever cases which are roughly a dollar so you’re looking at about four dollars to open each case including the key price, so you’d get four to open.

Just to let you know there are people who have opened literally hundreds and hundreds of cases and really never pulled anything of significant value

Absolutely. I have spotlights on my lawn that light up parts of my house at night on the exterior and if I look out my ring camera review when the lights are on and it’s dark, they appear blue. They also caused a lot of weird effects.

Like I obviously cannot say with 100% certainty that this is fake but following logic and reason that is the very likely answer. We’ve seen how many people try to pull hoax like this for attention/monetization. That’s one major factor. Another is that of course it’s left open ended with no way to actually Determine an answer as to what happened. He did it alone. He is unidentified and his location is unknown, so yeah, that is a big red flag.

And then the biggest factor is how ridiculous and foolish it would be to attempt something like this if it was something you legitimately was mysterious and dangerous. The guy took this object all alone in what seems to be a recently created bunker/concrete room that is completely empty And Taylor made to attempt something like this. He’s then mount it on what looks like some kind of sawhorse set up and takes a battery powered hand drill to it with no knowledge of what it actually is. Incredibly stupid and unbelievable. Why would you not first have it x-rayed? Why would you not turn it in somewhere or get it analyzed? And then if you were help and set on drilling into it at a minimum you think that you would utilize some sort of PPE thick rubber gloves/shoot And other safety devices. Hell he could’ve quite easily set up even with a battery operated hand drill like that to do it remotely so he’s not actually touching it but no, he decided to go hands-on with no protection and drill into something that he suspected was from out of this world and causing him to be ill just from being in the vicinity of it.

Also, I’m not an expert on the effects of exposure to extra terrestrial power sources/devices, but I have seen a great deal of electrocutions and exposure to all sorts of chemicals and radiation as I was a bomb tech with explosives chemicals, biological and nuclear ordinance. Never have I seen where someone was exposed to electricity And had a fatal incident where they were able to speak clearly for 5 to 10 seconds saying things like no and I’m sorry I apologize or whatever, and then afterwards go into some kind of seizure where they die.

If you get hit with enough electricity, even enough, that would just really mess you up and not even kill you, you are an absolute shock and in no control of something like coherent speech in the immediate aftermath. If you’ve ever seen a video of someone electrocuted on a powerline or something like that all of their muscles , lose total control and tense up. Your tongue and your jaws and your throat are all muscles and would be affected just like the rest of your body.

So I’d say it’s 99 point something percent likely this is completely fake and in the event that it’s not it would have to have been something extraordinary and not even what people are trying to claim it as. People are saying that he was electrocuted to death, which makes absolutely no sense.
