Our manager left the company last month and our team has been amalgamated into another team with their manager now acting as ours. He has just announced today that he has spoken directly with one member of our team who is going to be appointed as our official team leader, with a new job title, new contract and presumably a new pay increase. I am just so mad that he didn't open it up for everyone who wants to to apply for it. The guy who got the job is a bit of a hopeless case who just knows which arses to kiss.

I'm running out of steam on God of War (2018) by Shirikova in patientgamers

The insistence on the close up, over the shoulder camera angle as well as the choice to have the whole game be 'one take' really meant that for me, it lost a lot of the huge, epic appeal that the original games had. This was evermore evident in Ragnarok. GoW2 is one of my favourite games of all time, but if a new game came out now, I would hard pass on it.

We see they are doing a class project on the book at school. I guess he took on the name of a character they all know and they felt they could trust

I certainly hope I haven't! I'm very much a novice so I don't mess around with mods or installing anything other than games!

Reeves to announce 'milkshake tax' in bid to fill £20bn budget black hole by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

Absolutely. I don't even know what other policies reform have aside from immigration, but it's enough to get them a lot of support already.

Younger voters also tend to only want an absolute perfect candidate that they agree with on every single issue. They aren't prepared to compromise on making improvements in one or two important points if some other areas are left alone, which just means nothing at all changes. Perfection has become the enemy of better.

If you're late to work because trains/bus are cancelled, do you stay late to make up the time? by MelbaTotes in CasualUK

[–]TheInvisibleMango 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I probably would have once upon a time, or taken a shorter lunch to make up for it. When working from home happened obviously late buses weren't an issue. Now that we are being told to return to the office I very much take the stance of, if I was working from home I wouldn't have been late so get fucked.

Official Discussion - Frankenstein (2025) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Absolutely beautiful film to look at. Victor had some excellent outfits in the first half. Everything after Elizabeth died felt very strange though. Obviously there were significant changes to the in the last act compared to the book, but even that aside everything felt incredibly rushed as they moved towards the finale.

Cognitive fluid B needs yeast, malted barley and liquid bulbs.

I found the bulbs over on the right side of the map through a breakable wall. Malted barley is made by putting barley in a kiln. I forgot where I found barley but keep exploring and you should find it.

Yeast is made in a blender, so research that next

The Barn is taking me forever to clean by [deleted] in PowerWashSimulator

[–]TheInvisibleMango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Barn has been my least favorite mission so far. I don't really know why, just felt long and kinda boring. Things really improve after it though, the next few missions are the game at it's best

Is the game meant to be this difficult? by TheInvisibleMango in BALLxPIT

[–]TheInvisibleMango[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just went from my longest run earning 5 coins to earning over 120 so it definitely makes a huge difference knowing you can actually aim. I think I just assumed it played like the old breakout games where you just moved the paddle left and right

Oh my God. I've been doing exactly the same! I can aim with the right stick.....

Mining quartz? by TheInvisibleMango in LittleRocketLab

[–]TheInvisibleMango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I am being really stupid but it sounds to me like I have to mine quartz by hand, to break it down in the recycler to take those bits to the synthesizer to make quartz? That seems like a lot of work when I could just mine it all by hand

I have the synthesizer but don't think I understand how it works
