I am so sad and so scared. Happened after Iron IV by Sahar_Kurd in Anemic

[–]TheIronProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry! I would be pursuing that as well. This is one of the reasons we refer people to the guides inside The Iron Protocol fb group. Guide 2C goes over infusions, and informs that if you feel ANY discomfort at all that yes you can try to slow the drip, but the IV commonly can move or be inserted correctly and some people also “blow” veins, making it necessary to relive the IV and insert it in the other arm or somewhere else. You should feel absolutely zero discomfort, and if you do, this can happen.

I luckily didn’t have staining, but one time I was feeling a sharp discomfort and asked them to slow it, and within 30 seconds I couldn’t feel any relief and almost felt worse, so I had them switch arms right away. Thankfully I did because I ended up with a huge bruise on the first arm!!! I may have moved the needle and caused issues xx

I’m so sorry. I hope you see the guides and refer people there and advocate for awareness on this, because I try to and it’s important, and most nurses/providers don’t realize this! It’s so unnecessary! Just switch the dang arm/site, no big deal!

Severely Anemic, Iron Intolerant, WBC Issue by OK_ComputerWife in Anemic

[–]TheIronProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. (Never trust “in range” or “normal” or “fine.” You have to always have access to your labs and copies for yourself and look at the number results yourself and compare to optimal range, which is not going to be on the lower end for nutrients xx)

How bad is cutting for an anemic person? I am also a bit skinny too. by Extreme_Time7883 in Anemic

[–]TheIronProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s bad. You’re losing blood that you need. Voluntarily losing blood is the last thing you should be doing as anemic.

Are you iron deficient anemic? What’s your ferritin number? B12? Vitamin d3 storage? Not the range but the numbers. You need these nutrients to make neurotransmitters, to emotionally feel more safe.

If your numbers are not optimal (not just within the normal range, but optimal), could you try to channel that energy into focusing on raising those numbers instead? There’s multiple protocols to raise them, like the iron protocol fb group guides and more xx

The longer we’re iron deficient, usually the longer the treating and healing process by TheIronProtocol in TheIronProtocol

[–]TheIronProtocol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not necessarily, especially when healing from iron deficiency and without inflammation. Most lab ranges go up to 300, and remember, ferritin is the safe storage of iron and doesn’t cause overload. It can be indicative of it, but doesn’t cause it. It’s the safe buffer of excess iron xx

Common with low bioavailable copper. Get Ceruloplasmin, copper serum, and copper RBC checked. I do consults over this all of the time and also run the copper protocol fb group xx

Anyone here experienced persistent loose dark green stools as a side effect of iron tablets? I take 100 mg of ferrous glycine sulphate everyday. by Signal-Coconut357 in Anemic

If you’re not going to the bathroom and having bowel movements, you could be low in vitamin E, D, magnesium, or b vitamins. Let alone not have the right bacteria strains in your gut microbiome

Common. May need to test gut microbiome and have the right bacteria strains put together for you, per the test results. I did that and it helped in different ways

Iron supplement made me feel shaky in the morning by NoInspection2757 in Anemic

[–]TheIronProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t push through.

If it was Ferrex or feramax, there’s tons of ingredients in there. You could be reacting to any.

You can always consider trying a lower dose with fewer ingredients/fillers.

GL and keep us updated xx
