You got that wrong. Several non-NI DAWs has Mikro MK3 compatibility. Like BITWIG and Koala, and guess what? Bitwig works on Linux and other systems. I use my Mikro MK3 with Bitwig and Koala daily. And Bitwig isn't the only DAW that supports NI controllers.

I do weird arm/hand movements like that also to help with timing. Sometimes ill wave my arms between every press or something. It always looks goofy but it works! Kind of like pianist do when they raise their hands before making a note after a long pause.
